    Took it the strip.. I needz a driver mod, ha .

    ET was MEH, but I was happy with the trap.




    A few notes about the experience:
    1. I never launch the car on the street, so launching the car at the track was a blast. Launch set around 4k, it just gets out hard (but lights up all the tires).
    2. My ET really suffered on the 1-2 shift. The first few runs, I was not hitting the right shift point and coming into second right at or below 4k, which is not ideal.

    Then once I got the shift point better.. I started free spinning the tires in 2nd... , It spun so hard in second that I almost crossed over the center divide on the run I posted the slip for.(I refused to lift ha)..

    The next run. I spun all the way to red line (on the 1 -2 shift).. the type of spin that doesn't move the car.... I called it a night after that. I think maybe I should have dropped tire pressure and that the track needed better prep.

    Hardware wise, the car is exactly as I drive it on the street.. full weight, 93 + washer fluid and meth.

    Yeah it felt great.... I went out with a stage 2 b8 S4 (chip, pulley, exhaust, intake) and a stock b6 S4.... It was a fun night.

    good trap, i think due to your 60 you should have hit 11's. but nonetheless, thank you for posting your times/et. ive had many nights in the 12's wanting to be better. i think you will need a street radial at this temp, youre in md, im in ky. im sure the strip here hit 45°. so im sure its just as cold there, which is great for top end and engine work but not for tire hook up. hence slipping in 2nd. im doing the strip next friday, expecting same temps, and WILL be using radials, cause i dont want to have such a "bog or shredd" night at the track.

    That was the best 60', but not my best ET.... why, because as i said.. I spun through second gear into the center divide on this run and the run after that I free spun to red line (in second gear).

    I had to drive through the water box (no way around it), so I launched in the water box every time (which I think helped with the launch), so I seemed to be able to pull most 1.8s, spinning the tires some....

    I lost the ET on the 1-2 shift.

    I used ALS, but I did not use the NLTS. I planned to use the NLTS on the last run, but it was pointlessly free spinning on the shift.

    Deep 11s? no.

    In the 11s? Maybe.

    Look at his 60'. It is pretty good at a 1.7. If he ran those times and traps with a 2.0 or 2.1 60' then yes I would agree.

    Are you reading my posts? I ran a better ET with almost a 1.9 60' (not posted)........ spinning in second is a waste of time.

    Not gonna lie, I was expecting a higher trap after seeing dynos, especially in cold weather. 60ft was pretty good, the A4 or E55 are ready for some highway runs when you are Come on down to Florida haha.

    To the guy saying should go low 11s when trapping 119mph, lay off the pipe.

    And it is always a good day at the track when you drive it home.

    You had your chance when you were in VA!

    Only put down a little more then your A4 and trapped sufficiently faster than it, seems about right.

    You were still many hours from me and I worked 70 hours a week when I was there! Trust me if you were close I would have been there.

    And what do you mean trapped sufficiently faster? A4 did 93.89 in the 1/8th to your 90.89 and it trapped 118.6 to your 119.0 which is nearly identical, only thing is I did that with bad syncros in my transmission (slow shifts). Here watch the video and see how slow I was shifting, you can tell by how long it takes to hear turbo/exhaust again.

    1.96 60ft and you can hear I let off in 1st gear from spinning to much just like you had trouble with then got back in it before shifting to 2nd.

    And here is fast shifts you here the turbo quickly spooling with a good tranny and faster shifts unlike the 1/4 mile run. I know the car will do better than 119, I just haven't made it back with a good clutch and transmission to put it on paper.

    And E55 ran 11.6@120 a few nights ago with 1.82 60ft

    I'm not scared of no stinking Frankenturbo S4 haha

    I wish my roommate would hurry up and get his RS6 turbos and meth installed in his S4 then we can have all kinds of fun videos. Win or lose, it is all fun to me doing different comparisons.

    Are you reading what I have typed??? Let me ask you a question. What do you think is going to happen to my 1/8th et and trap if I am spinning in 2nd gear? I am lucky it caught eventually on the this run.. The run after this spun to redline and never caught at all... high performance summer tires, low temps, and TQ don't play nice some times.

    No point in being scared. We are worlds a part and these runs will never happen.
    You don't have to tell me about torque, trust me you will never have the problem I do in the E55 with only rear wheel drive and over 500ft/lbs at the wheels at 2800rpm. I have all kinds of problems trying to keep that thing from going all over the place on street tires. With that said, I got traction with a 1.82 60ft and trapped 94.0 in the 1/8th and 120.0 in the 1/4 and then I spun all over the place and did a 2.11 60ft and still trapped 93.1 in the 1/8th and 119.4 in the 1/4. I am sorry but you can think you will have big changes but I have been down the track well over 100 times, I would guess closer to 200 times and know how things work. I always spin completely through 1st gear until shifting to 2nd in my A4, just depends if you actually have some good forward motion going while spinning.

    You got a 1.76 60ft, your forward motion was very good spinning or not, so you won't be seeing any major changes with everything else being equal (no changes to make more power in the car).

    And I was being sarcastic and joking about the not being scared part, just saying it would be fun no matter the outcome.

    You could always go back again and prove me wrong though

    C'mon, spinning second gear all the way to red line? Were you running on snow?

    I went 125 consistently on crappy tires with K04's, never spun second gear. Hell with just about 600whp, a bog on the cars face with a 2.26 60', my car 100 mph in the 1/8th and 130mph in the quarter. No spinning second gear with that power either.. You can try to make up excuses, but it's not going to work. You have a decent 60' on the sheet, dont pretend like you are spinning second gear to red line, it's just silly because we are looking at the sheet break down. I'd sooner believe the tune is off, that's a way better excuse.

    So in your opinion a 93 mph trap 1/8th trap is a big change??? I never said this car could run low 11s, because I don't think it can in its current state. I would be happy with a low 12.

    I swear you are not reading... AGAIN the launch was OK, the car lost control in 2nd gear.. You do the math... how does one get a 1.7 60' foot, make as much power as this car clearly does, on a ko4 size turbo setup and only run 8.3 in the 1/8th? Look at the 330' foot... there is almost a half second lost in spinning.

    You are silly.

    If I say the car was spinning in second gear, then the car was spinning in second gear. The end of story.

    How am I going to argue something with you that I experienced? Please go sit down in a corner. Additionally, your experience is irrelevant to this situation as you left out some key factors.

    Do you know the condition of my tires or the condition of the track? What do you know? I guess I imagined almost crossing over the center divide as my car spun... lolz.
