ideas for custom 3in cai(cold air intake)

whats good my fellow rice eaters haha...im currently in the process of buyin the frankenturbo , with the 3inch maf housing, i have the stock airbox and would like 2 add a custom cai or aftermarket 3inch cai if there are any... i'd like pictures of you guys setups and/or ideas on how this dream can become possible thnx

All depends if you're maf or maf-less.

MAf: I'll probably do a 90 mandrel bend off the maf via silicone coupling. So the filter will face forward, right behind the headlight.

Maybe he meant MAF or MAF-less I'm not sure, I'm trying to figure out what does DBC or DBW have to do with anything but I'm drawing a blank.

I was under the impression that DBW years are maf-less, and DBC years do have them, resulting how you could run your intake.

Should'a just said maf or maf-less.

God, that looks so clean. Near my filter is a mess of vacuum lines =[

Nope your thinking MAP sensors, early and late 1.8's have MAF's.

look at the evoms intake, thats what i currently run and so far it's perfect and have been running it a couple years.....if you do decide to make your own def get a heat shield made for it

I've just got a ghetto cut piece of sheet metal. Wrapped the other side with heat tape. Braced it where the stock airbox is. Cost me like... 23 buck + the heat tape. Still have some leftover when I decide to make it look not so shitty.
