    Oh and speaking of which, it looks I will rebuilding my bottom end. I'm getting a lot of blow by. I will be doing a compression test tomorrow.

    Lol, knew what? I talked to Ray beginning of last week and he said he had emailed Mike Z for the file but hadn't received it yet to flash it and get it back out to me. I told him I wasn't stressing over it (as in I didn't need it the next day or anything) but figured it would be on its way back by now. I am not in town at home and have my E55 so forgot all about it.

    Yea it's the same bottom end. Not bad I guess It has lasted 3 years. Either the pistons rings aren't holding of the turbo is going bad. The compression test will confirm I guess.

    what do you mean by blow-by ? i thought that was referring to spark plugs having too wide of a gap?

    You are talking about spark blow out. Blow by is when the rings are wore out or the end gap was set to high making the fit loose in the cylinder allowing oil to "blow by" the rings.

    Yea what he said. I'm talking about oil blowing by the piston rings.at around 30 psi, I'm getting smoke from the exhaust occasionally.

    If I remember correctly, the bores are not perfectly round. I'd have to dig up your old thread to be positive.

    We were never able to determine if the bores were round or not. Although I was able to determine that a probable cause for my powers loss was several cracks in the old AMB head. I'll do the compression test tonight after work to confirm.

    Year 4 by far.

    The car just looks soo much cleaner/classier with silver wheels and color matched doorblades. Plus the year 4 wheels are by far the nicest and best design. Like the exposed IC pipe too.
