As the title says.. I have about 1k to spend on Coil Overs and wondering which ones everyone is using and the ride on them. I am looking at a basic set of Teins', or a set of Megan Racing. What are you guys running with a good ride?

for $1000, my choice would be the ST Suspension coils for the street ($7-800), and the Vogtland GT setup for street/light track (which are a fantastic deal at $1050 from Achtuning I believe)

The ST looks like a great deal. Do you think I should go ahead and do the control arms and all that at the same time?

gonna have to disagree - I found the Koni/Stasis Streetsports to be the worst of both worlds - too soft and under damped (and this was with Stasis' settings)

I loved the street sports i had them on the car for ~4 years, just recently took them off the have the fronts rebuilt (koni replaced them for free). The ride was firm but at the same time not too firm for a daily driver. I would def recommend them.

LOVE my Stasis Streetsports. Ride feels like stock and they go ridiculously low if you want them to

So the only differnce between the Vogtlands and the ST's are the dual piston and damp setting?

I really don't like a soft ride. Grew up on lowriders so not too keen about having a soft ride. I just want minmal body roll and tight corners.

ST's are made by KW and are their more "affordable" option.

They are not stainless steel either which is why they are cheaper.

    here you go: http://shop.achtuning.com/vogtland-g...-b6-b7-a4.aspx

this is what I'd buy if I didn't already have KW V1's (which are essentially the same as the STs but have stainless plated shock bodies and a longer warranty)

Thats a hell of a price for Vogtlands.....because the GT's have stiffer rear springs, you won't need to buy RS4 sway bar.

Have run Vogtland for last ~5-6 yrs on an 02 1.8T, continue to love. Same shock company as KW (Alko). Will put them on a '07 RS4 if available and don't find reasonable deal on Ohlins.

Still get RS4 rear sway at some point, only $100 and noticeable difference.

    $1070 for Vogtland's is nutty.

    (thanks for the link Matt)

Anybody running the GT's on an Avant? I was thinking of doing Koni yellow's but now I might just cut to the chase and do CO's.
