I'm not wanting to break down the motor for internals, and I'm at the threshold of power where I it'd come into question, I would I love to build some 2.1L I.E. camed motor...hell yes.....on Front Track....hell no.

Goals, I'm kinda stuck: I'll be doing a software replacement and needing to pick out a clutch (currently stock). Possibly will be doing the new 2.0T version E red coil pack conversion....I think I'm capped.

.......if I could snap my fingers and have $2K vanish from my account and wake up to her being Quattro.....I would be all smiles.

The gt2871r on the that manifold spools like a mofo..it's actually way way too much, it roasts the tires stupidly in first and will break all 2nd gear really good and that's only on ~10 PSI @ half throttle. It goes from idle (900rpm) to red line literally faster then you can snap your fingers. My current tune will break up after ~13 PSI so I stay @ half throttle and 10 PSI, so when I actually can nail and hold ~19/20 PSI (what it's supposed to be) on another tune it's just gonna be dumb. However like most, once momentum has been reached, hwy speed etc, you always want more power and could use more considering you're not going to be spinning out the tires.

Considering the milla-second red line, and smell-o-tires-o-roasting @ only half throttle I've considering like a progressive boost controller of something of the sort to limit 1st gear to like 7-8 PSI, second to ~13 or so, then 3rd and on gets it all.

Have not dynoed, wanna wait for a new tune.

    Custom 2.5' Borla Catback Exhaust

    Upgraded Coil Packs

Haven't really been able to do any turbo upgrades due to a problem I ran in to with my gas tank. A valve broke causing a CEL for large evap leak. Took me about 4-5 months to find a used tank that didn't have any problems.

Now that that's taken care of..want to do my motor/tranny mounts upgrade with 034 street density line, new clutch, A8/TT brake upgrade, then if all goes well a franken turbo setup.

My B5 runs beautiful even with 176,XXX miles, should I be worried about blowing something up with a franken kit?

I used to have a built motor running a GT35r. Pulled the motor out like 4 years ago and swapped in a stock motor. The plan was to put the built motor into a quattro chassis. Got caught up with wanting to do bigger things with the build, etc.; but now the project is on hold because of school, life, and other more important things.
