    hey guys,

i have to do a bunch of repairs on my car and am going aftermarket for a few parts and need some guidance.

are the stock rear rotors on the a4 ultrasport 245 or 255mm?

do bilstein sport shocks have a similar ride quality to the stock a4 ultrasport? better, worse?

    thank you for the help!

The rotors depend on the VIN, as they split at some point in 2004 IIRC. Best thing to do is measure them yourself.

The Bilsteins are much better than the stock Monroes. Get a set of H&R springs while you're at it and you'll be set! Make sure the set you're getting is for your type of car (sedan/avant and 1.8t/3.0)

Get a cat from someone here on the board. Check the classifieds, there are always stock cats for sale. Is it a 1.8T?

I don't really wanna lower my car, as i go to the snow a lot. Will H&R's lower it? If so I'll probably just stick with stock. And thanks for the heads up on the bilsteins.

Searched classifieds for a cat, no luck yet, will definitely keep looking. Gonna drive on it as long as I can. A mildly busted cat really doesn't do too much damage, does it?

THe H&R's will lower it a half inch. I just went from H&R's from OEM sport springs. Also just went from sport shocks to bilstein sports. The ride is stiffer, but its getting better after getting broken in.

I have an OEM cat with 70K miles on it and no issues. You can have it for $150 shipped. Please PM me if interested.
