So I recently changed my Thermostat, installed 034 silicone lower breather-hose, Spark plugs, and check valves(only left one out cause it look good still).
I now have a CEL. I dont know the code.
Seems that the car doesn't really want to crank over.(it takes 3 times exactly, every time I do it on the 3rd try it cranks over.)when it does crank over it runs really well, switching through all gears, it runs good.
-I tried my fuel rail to see if it sprays out, it does. so its not fuel pump
-tested the battery at auto-zone, they said it was pretty much brand new. 100% charged. alternator should be good because its charging the battery.
When engine is on, it barely idles. by the meaning of that i mean idles from 900 to 950 pretty close to 1000 rpms. i can barely feel it.

Anybody got any suggestions? (besides CEL cause i cant do anything about it till i check what the code is)
    help would be appreciated.

yeah its kind of weird though. cause the first attempt i did when i replaced t-stat ect. it took twice to start but the CEL wasn't on until i turned it off and turned it back on. then about 2 hours ago, i replaced spark plugs, turned it on. and no CEL came up. drove it around for a while, got the it to be at normal temperature, put gas, and when attempting to turn on, again on the 3rd try it started with a CEl. but other then that and small idle, runs really good... so idk

If you tested the battery at AutoZone, why didn't you have them scan the code at the same time? Figure out what the code is. That's step #1. Then post up and get some advice.

because i took the battery out the car, and took it to them. And as i was there i asked them. they said they dont do it anymore. you have to buy the scanner. i called couple shops around my area and they ALL said they dont check CEL's on Audi's. I asked the last shop why they dont do it, they just said they dont carry the scanner.

You got fed a nice, big bowl of bullshit.

Autozone advertises that they scan codes all over print and television ads. I've personally had my A4 scanned several times and in three different states since I've owned it. They do it. Just ask. You don't need VAGCOM just to scan a CEL.

nopeee i went again and they said they dont do it. (went to a different one). they said they havent done it for about 3 years now. so that was a no go.
so i went to a smog test center and they checked it and erased it for 30.

    codes were
P0341- cam position sensor Bank 1.
    P0113- IAT 1 ckt High
