Help with symphony 2+ in 04 usp.

So my friend gave me a symphony 2+ as he upgraded to an rns-e and when i went ahead to install it i wasnt very succesful.
I purchased an RNS-E Adapter on ebay for around $45. When i went to install it, i can hear the cd changer cycling, but when I press the power on button it doesnt turn on or anything.

I'm not sure if its the unit or the adapter itself. Anyone else have this problem? I'll probably end up making sure that the adapter is making the connections correctly, but i just wanted some advice from anyone on here if they can help out.
    Thanks.

and south bend clutch ftw.. just installed it today gotta love the stock feel in a stage 3 clutch. :)

Btw anyone heading out to Englishtown New Jersey on Sunday?

I believe the RNS-E adapter is different than a Symphony II+ adapter. They have the same connector, but the pins are different. Its possible you can swap the pins around to work. Someone posted on here a week ago with this same problem. I cant find the thread right now though. Check the audio specific forum....
