    Hey Guys!!

So after installing my JHM LWFW & Stage 4 clutch I began my break in. . . I took a drive down to Baltimore to visit my GF. This morning when I started the car i heard a weird noise coming from under the car. . .So I started driving off and the noise started getting louder almost like a rubbing noise. after i ran the car for a while it left but is this normal??

    Thanks

how many miles have you driven since the install, adn how have you been driving. Did you make sure to specify that they use the different hardware with the FW?

I too have this setup and I have roughly around 500 miles on them. I'm still breaking them in. There is no chatter when the car is still warming up. Even after some 20 miles combination of street and freeway driving, I don't hear any chatter. I do hear a very low chatter noise, when it is really hot outside and when I've driven on the freeways a long while. Once they cool down, there is no noise again. The chatter to me is not irritating because like I said it is barely audible.

How bad is the chatter? That's one of the reasons that I don't want to go with a stage 4 clutch. I drove Dan's and it grabbed great, but I don't think that I would want that for everyday due to any chatter. I get enough of it from my wife and kid.

If it chatters, you're in the wrong gear for the given speed. You're bogging the poor thing

The question isn't whether or not he used all the hardware. The question is whether or not he did as JHM says and used the hardware supplied with the clutch kit, or just reused the factory bolts. On many cars, you can reuse the factory hardware just fine, but in this application the hardware the set comes with is actually different than the stock hardware (necessary to make it all work properly). So if they reused the factory hardware, then you're probably exhibiting a known issue here and should have it redone with the right hardware before it gets really expensive. I'd ask them and make damned sure which hardware they used.

good to know. There is a history of otherwise competent shops installing these flywheels and not using the supplied hardware, so its good to rule that out.
