I would like to get rid of my Audi Symphony with tape deck.

I love my 2005 S4 Avant, but I cant stand looking at the useless headunit with tape deck. My car has Bose and Satellite radio. I am looking to swap the headunit out with an Audio headunit that is IPOD compatible. I am really not interested in the Navigation model. What headunit fits my needs? What hardware or additonal parts would be needed? How hard is the install? Thanks in advance.

Forgot to add if you order it from Crutchfield they will tell you everything you need and most the time they include everything you need to install.

I really like the stock install look. Every aftermarket headunit install I have seen doesnt look right in my opinion. If you have any pics of your install please post them.

Well if you want to keep satelite radio, you have to either get an oem head unit or with the after market unit, you will have to buy a satalite radio module.

My car already has Sirius satellite. I really would just like the not tape deck stock unit with either factory or aftermarket ipod adapter.

    Then just do this:

With one of the iPod adapters. I hear the Desion is quite popular

B6JoeS4 that is exactly what I am looking for. Besides the new headunit what else would I need?

Intriguing! I'd like to put one of those in my '04 S4. Any thoughts on what I'd need since I already have the OEM XM module?

Go for the dynavin unit! Gives you that stock look with a boat-load more functionality, and you dont need an ipod adaptor. You can even get a backup camera and hook that up. Also I have heard of antenna problems using the symphony II in a b6.

    Moondev,

Seems like a great system. Have you installed this? I tried calling the company but did not get an answer. Does this use the audi stock satellite units?

Yea this dynavin looks interesting. Any idea on how well the android one works or if you can even get one? Their website pretty much sucks.

I'm really on the fence with this system (trying to find some reviews before buying):

I think the systems sold by SmartAuto24.com are made by a company called DCT. They do look very similar to dynavin though...
