This last weekend I drove down to APR and got the pulley & flash.
On the long trip back the car kept getting faster & faster.

Today I had the chance to gake her to my first track day in 10 years.
The car performed flawlessly all day with 15 passes in total. Left her in D and used launch control. 12.38 being the best with some 12.4 - 12.6's peppered in there. Consistent 1.8 - 1.9 60's.

I'll take a pic of the slip later tonight.

Only mods are APR 100octane tune & pulley. Holy shit what a difference.
Can't wait to do intake & exhaust and go back later this fall when it's not 80 out.

Thanks so much APR, the car is a total beast now.

Nice... starting to close the gap between the S4 the CTS-V.

    Road & Track tested the CTS-V and averaged 12.3 @ 118 mph.

Hmmm, modded vs stock, maybe. Fully built S4 (at this time) vs Lingenfelter or Hennessey CTS-V would not be pretty. You're gonna have to shave off more than another second to run with that crowd.

Trapping only 112 compared to 118 is a pretty big difference. Run those down the road and the S4 will get walked.

Yeah, he has the golden ticket for launches, that is for sure.
On several runs I got some wheel spin which I thought was odd, but ehh.

First time on a 1/4 mile track in 10 years or so, I need some practice.

It was a blast, it was mostly domestic guys and some had their jaws open as they expected some 14-15 second passes.
The 75 year old man doing tech told me to put my helmet away as I wouldn't need it.

Someone has got to dip into the 11's with the weather getting colder by the day.

Paper racing FTMFL. Also, trap is much, much more important than time. 112 trap would get run over by 118 trap. But if you really wanted to play paper racing.

    1Sensei ran 11.96 @ 117.3MPH bone stock.

I ran a C63 and lost to him because I screwed up on the launch and redlighted. He could not break into the 11s even with headers, catback and tune. He really admired my car and said he was disappointed in his car's performance after seeing what my V did stock. I really believe I have an animal on my hands. The track was No Problem Raceway in Donaldsonville La. if you guys want to verify the DA.
CTS-V with similar amount of money as Joneze's put into mods. Moparman4444 ran 11.2 @ 124.

    Thanks,

You were well represented though for all the V Haters...

There was a lightly modded (But stock appearing/ sounding) CTS-V out there running LOW 11's (11.1x) and well into the 120's...
Just some DR's on the rear were the only indication he was about to open a can of whoop ass.

PS: Everyone stop bench racing 2 distinctly different cars.
This is america, not Russia, where we are free to buy whatever car we want and mod it to our delight.

The V is an insane car and responds to mods like WHOAH.

For you guys running 100 oct are you getting the gas early and running the 100oct map in your car for a while before you make your passes?

Thanks to a really good 60ft he just got in, awd sure does come in handy. I would hope for higher trap speeds running the APR pulley with race gas on a race gas tune though. He needs some headers and maybe he could pick up another 2mph and 2 tenths.

the bypass valve was opening too according to Ron, that may have a bit of an effect (possible result of the cats heat in too much?).

Good runs. I wish APR could make file for 109 octane for the MS109 that most of us are problably going to be using. I do know the car will advance its timing a few clicks if and when needed so as long as you have good cool down time you should get good runs in.

Lighter Rims, Lighter Battery and "high flow headers" haha could get us into mid 11s. Prime also has the CPS so I dont know if we could get there like he did.

I doubt the CPS gave him any gains, made him more consistent though.

This is what I'll probably be doing, the track is a couple hours away, I think I'll roll there with the map and 100 oct, so the car has time to adjust. Let it cool down when I get there then hit it up.
