    Rear shelf woofer enclosure?

Anyone done some custom enclosures for the rear shelf woofers? I had a pretty bad rattle in the RS so I swapped them both out with infinity ref speakers. Obviously the 5" magnet is a little too big for the stock plastic cups so I can't reuse there.

I'm basically going for most effective solution to trap some of the bass that's spilling into the trunk.. path of least resistance and all, I'm pretty sure my trunk is robbing me of plenty of audio.

My current thought are to build some shallow sealed enclosures and mount them to the underside of the shelf somehow.. My backup is to find a bigger plastic cup and 3M tape it to the magnets.

What has everyone else done in the same situation? Pics help!

    Not an option:
    - Building a box for the trunk
    - Upgrading so an IB setup actually works
    - Upgrading period (the point of the infinity refs was to retain stock placement and look)

BTW, I posted here and not in audio because this is a specific question for B5 sedans, preferably B5 S4s.

This is funny I just realized yesterday that I have infiniti ref speakers in the rear deck too and have the same "issue". Its sounds kinda ghetto, but I have a couple pieces of tupperware that will fit over it perfectly. I was thinking about making a fiberglass cup for it, but the tupperware and 3m seems easier and maybe alittle better.
"Clearly, a liger is not as practical as a Katana. S4s can't carry ligers. fucking 500lb cat in my backseat using my alcantara as a scratch post for its HUGE FUCKING CLAWS? I dont' think so bro"

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.

That's BASICALLY what I was thinking as a backup, I'd use the tupperware as a mold for something with less flex though.. not sure if that's wise but that's how I see it in my head :D

I was really hoping to see some custom enclosures, get ideas on how to mount a moderately heavy box (wood, dynamat) to the underside without drilling through the metal deck. That's all I've got though, it's either weld some track/clips on there or drill a few holes on each side to secure that way.. I'm almost positive that 3M tape isn't going to hold any type of wood enclosure I'd build.. plastic for sure, but not a solid sealed enclosure.

FYI, if its not already obvious, I actually know basically nothing about the nitty gritty of audio and car audio specifically. I've setup systems, hacked up stock systems and replaced parts but I basically operate on a "this makes sense in my head" basis hahaha
