    Against advising on the legal use of the freeware version of VCDS-Lite? Ross Tech's website addresses use of it with 3rd party dumb interfaces. I was not advising on the use of 409.1

    Certainly, anyone is free to purchase the authentic Ross Tech cable, but R-T obviously distributes the freeware version of VCDS-Lite on its website for some reason.
