This unit has the Apt-X codec that supports up to 384kbps audio. I use a Samsung Galaxy Nexus and use a NFC tag in my car to automatically turn on my bluetooth when I put my phone in the car in case I forget. I will post what results I get. I lucked out and my sales person gave me an extra cable when I bought my car saying "These things break often so take an extra." No problem in a year and a half.

Finished my cable tonight. It sounds just like the iPod did with the same song playing over 192kbps Pandora. Now I don't have to tether anymore.
