    What color is your coolant?
3 months ago I had car for a service and coolant was topped off.
Today I checked coolant level and it was 1/2 in below min.
No messages on display regarding low coolant. No overheating at all. Even in 120F temp in Phoenix for last week. Oil temp was at 209- 235 F during fast highway drive .
I bought my S4 new and coolant dropping slowly was always an issue. From max to, or below min. during 5,000 miles. ( cold engine).
Never found any leaks, the system was pressure tested few times and of course nothing was found.
Today in addition to being below min. I noticed that my coolant was not very clear. It was cloudy and also orange in color ( not purple or pink). I dropped it to Audi today since the car still has factory warranty. I forgot to check my engine oil color today but in the past it was always normal.
Any ideas what is going on here?
It is 2014 S4 6MT with ~39,000 miles. The car is stock except F and R Eurocode sway bars and endlinks.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Just to be clear, you did not check the level/color of the coolant within a few days of your dealer visit 3 months ago and today was the first time?

If so, hard to say. But turning orange is a bit strange. Something yellow would need to be added. Assuming it was an audi dealer service, unlikely they added wrong coolant but who knows, maybe they have a new universal coolant they added that is yellowish in color.

Hard to say about the cloudiness however. You haven't peed in your coolant reservoir I presume ;o)

I did checked the coolant level since then multiple times but did not open the reservoir to look at it till yesterday. In the past the color was always purple , clear since I remember that in the past they added too much coolant and I had to remove some. last moth when I checked oil level with a dipstick it looked normal to me. I did not notice anything unusual. Yes the service was done at Audi dealership and I do not recall peeing into the coolant reservoir.
I hope to hear something from the service dept. early this week.

Audi coolant is pink possibly dealer used non audi / vw coolant but you should have been able to see color just looking at reservoir . If you noticed. Yellow color after service, they probably used different coolant than Audi spec.you could call SA , but they may not own up to usingnonaudi spec.stuff.

G13 and G12++ are purple /pink and clear. What I noticed yesterday checking the reservoir was more like orange cloudy ( not clear).
I will update once I hear from the dealer this week.
