P+, Estoril Blue, Black Nappa, manual, sports diff, 19" peelers, MMI, B&O, rear side airbags, carbon inlays... in my dream! Wish this was a real order, but alas, we're not ready for a new car, yet. At least now I have practice on how to put a post up after I place an order for real. Sorry for getting some of you excited about the Estoril order, been reading how this and Misano Red are ?s right now - they show up in the 2012 brochure as "S4 exclusive" colors, but are not on the order sheet. I also asked one of the local dealers about it, and he unsuprisingly didn't know about these 2 colors till he opened up the brochure in front of me. He just said they would have to contact their Audi rep to find out these would be like Imola yellow and Sprint blue, i.e. only available on the S4 with no extra "exclusive" charge.

Anyways, thought I would introduce myself after lurking for a while. Right now I drive a 2006 Mini Cooper S, stick of course (with the Car and Driver "Save the Manuals" decal on!). I ordered the car just before my wife found out she was pregnant with our first son. We decided not to cancel the order, and that her Accord would be the "family" car. Well 5 years later, I still have the S, my wife's totalled Accord got replaced with a new family vehicle - a 2007 Highlander Hybrid. We now have 3 kids (2 boys - 5 and 3, and a 1-year old girl), and I drop the boys off at pre-school every morning. My poor 3-year old has started complaining about not being comfortable behind me. I'm 6'2" and with his big car seat, his legs don't exactly fit easily. And thats another excuse for me wanting a new car. If the S4 Avant was available stateside, with a stick, that would be on the top of my list. But right now the decision isn't very easy. I'm waiting for the new 3-series to see what thats like (in case any of you haven't, there are some pretty good uncovered pics on bimmerfest.com where you can almost see what it will be like), and I also want to see what they do with the 2013 S4. Other cars I'm looking at, but not as seriously: G37 (although again want to wait for the new one because I really don't like the latest refresh), TL SH-AWD (here the refresh at least doesn't want to make me puke anymore), and even the next WRX/STI. Seems like in the next year or two, there are a bunch of new models/refreshes coming to keep things excited, so my sane side doesn't mind waiting. But of course I'm human, and want a new car NOW, so I'm always looking for excuses to make me NEED a '12 S4 right now!
