Congrats! Looking good aside from the tail light tint. Not my thing at all. Or the SC badge on the rear. But to each their own. Enjoy it!

Looks good, tint the windows! You just got a 2010 delivered? Crazy...my 2012 should be in late August.

I actually like the tail light tint but it looks a little awkward without window tint, so I'll second the window tint. I would debadge that supercharged on the rear though, and is it just me or does the S4 emblem look crooked? Great car, jealous of the intake.

The previous owner added the Tinted Tails, Magnaflow, Supercharger Badge in the rear, and Eurocodes. I'm still on the fence with the tinted tails, will definitely tint the windows, and deep 6'in that rear SC badge. Getting the performance mods out of the way right now, then move on to aesthetics. I like to work in stages. I haven't had it for a week yet. Worked the enclosed carrier in the deal, it came from the West coast and I'm in NC.

Wow I'm diggin it! The tail lights look on the dark side, but other than that it looks hawt!

I really like the carbon fiber inlays with red interior.

Any chance of you posting a video of what your car sounds like when driven? I have yet to hear the carbonio intake in action. Might get diluted with the exhaust sound, but would still give an idea of how loud it is.

Thanks Neal! I got it off a private seller there. So it's just a coincidence.

Lose that badge and the taillight tints (they're ghetto, no matter what anyone says). Otherwise, a fine looking automobile.

have a shop use an exacto knife carefully and take tint only off of the clear area of the tailight so its clear on nthose areas and only tinted on the red. then tint the windows and it will look perfect

Loving the look. Test drove it around the block yesterday and it sounds sick. Can surely hear the SC whine more now. That's the reason, I went ahead and got the APR gear. It's a great discount right now, and I'm going to eventually do it so might as well enjoy it now and do it while the car is new. They're running a great special, I recommend it.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the compliments. Here's a little review of the car if anyone cares or is interested.....

At the moment it's been a garage queen this past week sitting on only 3k miles. My girlfriend and I have been commuting for 2 years since it just makes sense. On the way, schedules are the same, and saves us on gas and maintenance. Plus the downtime with the Maxima while I was building it got me use to it. :D Don't tell her I said that. lol.

I thoroughly enjoy driving it. I've always been a manual guy, and was afraid of going with the DSG transmission. I was really afraid that I was going to have a disconnect with the driving experience without the 6-speed. Getting older and lazier I didn't feel like shifting through traffic, especially since I've gotten use to the girlfriend's automatic. All I can say is that I was utterly surprised when I drove this car. The shifts are crisp and lightning fast. The dual clutch really is something else. It is not humanly possibly for me to shift that fast. It rev matches on the downshifts for me in Dynamic Mode, and I still feel like I have total control. I've only driven with the paddle shifters a few times, as I don't even feel like I need to use them except for the good ole, "click click pass" on the highway. The Quattro is also something that just handles extremely well. I've never owned a German car, nor an AWD car but they seem to really go hand in hand, cause the handling feels like there's not much for me to do to it from stock form. And some of you know how I love my coilovers. After the performance mods, coilovers will be my next step.

The fit and finish is really good. I have to hand it to Audi, it's like everything they touched on this car, attention to detail was paid to. There are absolutely no rattles (so far). The doors are solid, all the buttons and knobs feel good, and the seats bolster like Recaros. The colors and instrument panel along with the Multimedia Interface (MMI) just gives a nice curb appeal. I hope to have this for a long time to come, most definitely the nicest car I've ever owned for sure.

My other 2 options were an E92 and a C63 AMG. I've driven both of them, and really liked the way they handled and performed, but there were little things about them that didn't appeal to me as much. The E92 is a perfect driver's car. The interior, not so much. No offense to Bimmer guys. I just didn't like the blandness of the cockpit, that and the fact that everyone and their 16 year old kid drives one in Charlotte didn't make it very exclusive here. The C63 is a really sick ride, the motor makes sounds that you could only dream about. With that said, the V8 is just a little much when it comes to fuel efficiency and the styling is a little to aged for my taste. Meaning I'm not 50+ yet. I like the exterior lines, better in the cockpit dept then the E92 also, which is sharp and driver oriented, but aside from the gas tax still another car that I saw more often here even in the C-class.

The B8 S4 is a rarity in my area. I've seen a few B8 A4's here and there, but I've only ever seen 2 B8 S4's before this one. There also wasn't anything I didn't like about the car. It looks sleeper to the untamed eye, and flies under the radar (I need this with my years of tickets), and I really liked the interior and creature comforts I optioned it out with. I never got a chance to drive the S4 before buying this one, but I just had a feeling it was going to be great, and so far it has exceeded my expectations. I did youtube drive the hell out of it if that counts. lol It took about 4 months to find this color combo and options that I wanted in a pre-owned. Ordering a new one would have taken 3 more months and would have been outside of my budget.

Anyway, that's my little review of the car. I'm not sure what else to tell you except for the options it's got. Ask questions if you'd like. Thanks again for the props guys!

I'll have a proper photoshoot soon, and hope to run with the modding in this thread.

Super Nice! I like the first mods and the clean approach you are taking (and the fact that you will ditch the tail lights and the SC badge). I thought about going for the Black APR tips as well but have not done so yet as I am a little afraid of the contrast between the dark tips and the big shiny mufflers...maybe I am splitting hairs. It would be great if you could share a couple more pictures when you have the time.
I hope the pulley install will go smoothly and am looking forward to hear your feedback about it!

Lack of dipstick....I brought mine home on the first day and started to rummage around under the hood. I pulled what i thought was the dipstick to find it was a plug? I am not tech averse, but leaving simple oil monitoring to a sensor freaked me out a little

I'm a little old school too, and like to check the oil level myself as well.

Nice man! I had to go to the parts department to checkout a few things and swung by service as well. I was looking around and was going to ask the receptionist where you were, but all the sales guys were with customers, so I didn't want to bother anyone. I'll be back by soon. I saw the A4 behind me on Independence, and had a feeling it was a test drive.

Looking to go back to the red tails, but they didn't look that bad in person did they? lol

Pulley was installed last night. Everything went very smoothly, and took a few breaks here and there. A couple buddies of mine came over to lend a hand and google over an S4. :) I should be receiving my ECU back from APR today at my doorstep. I'm anxious to see the difference. I've only had the car for a few weeks, and went from almost stock, to the Intake, Exhaust, Tune, and Pulley all at once. I know how brute it was when it was stock, and that was pretty fast, but I just want to see how much an improvement it will be for the butt dyno.

I'm going on vacation next week, and where I'm going there's an All Wheel Dyno about 20 mins away, which I will be taking my car in to partake in the use of it. I'll report back with something. Too bad I don't have a baseline dyno of my car, but I didn't have much time to get it dyno'd and get the mods in before this trip. Anyone know what the best gear to dyno in is for the closest 1:1 ratio on the DSG?

How far away is "vacation"? Honestly any car guy would tell you this is a bad idea

I'm guessing he meant either Dyno'ing it and breaking something while your out of town, or taking a freshly modified car with not many miles under it's belt (on the mods) on a long trip.

Even if he meant that, I don't understand why he would think that would be bad.

Most people break in their fully built motors on dynos or at the drag strip. I'm hoping that whoever had my car before ran the living shit out of it when they drove it. That would ensure that I get good seats for the piston rings. After the 1st 20 miles of starting my fully built motor in my Maxima and breaking it in. I drove the piss out of it, and it's running strong as ever with no issues till this day.

Cars this day and age are not like your older cars, where you have to break it in gently for a few thousand miles. Hard break ins are preferred. At least from this neck of the woods. Besides, this car has a good tune on it now to accommodate all the mods. It will be alright.

Here is a list of the things I don't like about your car:

    1)
    2)
    3)
    4) It's not in my garage.

True... but once we get the EMCS, it'll be much easier to do a stock->91 tune->93 tune->pulley dyno/dragstrip numbers

You're right, Ron. I wish I had some sort of baseline to go off of to see what my true gains were. However, I do want to add that there were minor issues with the dyno guy getting tach signal, and the straps as you can see in the video, and also just giving my car time to cool down between runs. He seemed like he just wanted to get the car in and out as quickly as possible. By him rushing and trying to cut corners I feel seem to hurt my numbers a little. I'm on vacation for a week at the coast of NC right now, and this dyno I went to was one that my buddy has gone, and recommended. I'm only about 20 mins away, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm going to wait till I get back home and get a second dyno before I make assumptions. Unfortunately, I don't have any logging data either. I'll see if I can get that setup before my next run on the rollers. I just missed the last TNT at the strip last week. I have to wait till Fall unless I want to do some driving to get to another one. I will be there for sure. I'm waiting for my next Auto-X event to come up soon.

It's looking good! Heat soaked with the hot weather, and pushing 350 to the wheels is awesome!

I hope to go again when I get back home and see if I can get better readings.

I am very happy about that A/F curve however, that's pretty close to flatlined right thur.
