Hey Deckd are the H&R springs combined with the 9x20s still treating you well?

It was previously mentioned that the wheels are likely ET35, is that still your understanding? I am looking at another set of 20x9s in ET35 and would appreciate your up-to-date feedback on this combination.

The springs are still the doing great. Would do it again if I had to. Nothing really new to report there.

The wheels are great. My "ideal" offset would be ET37 but, that little bit of difference is not a big deal. At the moment I'm getting my wheels resprayed again in the same color scheme for a fresh look. Going a shade darker this time.

These suspension mods are not a necessity for anything other then the adjust ability factor and if you plan on tracking the car. Which I do, so I want the option of doing that. You won't feel any of the effects from these upgrades unless you are pushing the car to the limits, and even then you probably won't feel much of a change. The control arms are for camber to dial in my grip around turns more so. They are definitely nice upgrades to have, so if you have some extra cash to throw at it, it's still a good mod.

I think with the ET37 I can eliminate the tire rub all together. Right now, I rarely get rubs- If I carry passengers in the rear and going over huge bumps/dips in the road. It doesn't really bother me, but if I wanted to get rid of it entirely and run 255 tires, that offset would probably do it for me. You could also go with the ET35 and run 245 tires and not have any of these issues either. I just like going as wide as I can on traction.

Thanks again for the feedback Deckd, I ordered the ET35 5-arm 9x20 titanium rotor B8 RS4-style wheels today as they worked out cheaper than the ET37 WSP Italy version of the same wheels.

I also ordered Hankook Ventus S1 255 30 20 tires after reading that another forum member had these tires fitted with the ET35 wheels above and lowered on H&R sport/super sport springs. Looking forward to rolling on 20s!

It's exactly how you described it. I know ride can be subjective, and I've had a few different combo's on other cars. The Super Sports are by far my most favorite for just a spring swap, without going coilovers. Actually, I probably like them better then a couple coilover choices out there (for and not for our cars)

For me, the ride is amazing. Quiet and not harsh at all.

Lack of dipstick....I brought mine home on the first day and started to rummage around under the hood. I pulled what i thought was the dipstick to find it was a plug? I am not tech averse, but leaving simple oil monitoring to a sensor freaked me out a little

D2, is that a custom finish on your TSW's? Mind sharing who did the work? I only see them selling in the matte gunmetal, gunmetal/silver, or bronze finishes. I want gunmetal, but the matte versions looks too dark and too matte for my tastes!

I've been trying to pinpoint what sounds like what you might be referring to for a few years now, and I've checked every nut and bolt in my suspension and can't find it. I've always had a notion that my sway bar was making noise but everything seemed tighten to specs. Even removed both front springs and shocks completely just to make sure my top hat was tight, and it was. I get this low speed rumble/knock intermittently but it's not bad or affects driving, just annoying. Have always had it. What kind of sound does the ECS ones have that you're referring to?

It's gotta be a bushing area thing, cause I've gone through and double checked every suspension bolt and even pulled the front shocks and springs assembly to check the top hat bolt as well. To no avail. Doesn't happen all the time, just when I'm moving slow and when it's cold, then goes away. Doesn't affect drive-ability or anything like that, and I auto-x with no issues.

Have you tried re-greasing the bushings? Does that help at all? How do you like the Hotchkis sways? What settings do you have them on?

I have not pulled them to re-grease, that's how much of a big deal it is and how often it occurs. Almost non existent, only notice when my radio is on mute really. I love the sways, one of the best mods I've done. I think that the fronts are right in the middle of full stiff. It's been so long I hardly remember.

I thought the Hotchkis kit had the grease nipples on them to make greasing super easy.
