It is. Audison has line level inputs, so we were able to use that and connect it to the stock sub harness for input signal. Saved me from having to get a nice set of Stinger RCA cables.

I originally had a Hertz HX-300D which was a 12". After getting the mold for the fiberglass done, the way it would have fit into the space would not have come out as clean as it did, and I'm all about form and function. I opted to move down to a Hertz HX-250D 10". Power difference is 1200W Peak/600W RMS for the HX-300D vs 900W Peak/450W RMS for the HX-250D. Because the volume issue and the efficiency range, the HX-250D performed at a much better/louder range than the HX-300D would have. It's more punchy, but with the same box, the 10" still hits lower.

For the Amp I went with the Audison LRx 1.1k 1090W. I only have this bridged down to RMS Power @13.8V @2 ohm 1 x 800 watts. I have multiple options as seen in the specs below but, this is the best setup for this sub. Plus the whole setup itself is so much overkill for me it's not even funny. I love it! HA.

I have the gain controller installed in the pocket to the left of the cupholders. It fit perfect, and the lights sickly match up with the rest of the interior. I forgot to get a picture of that, but I'll get that for you guys later on.

this is exactly what i think i'd want if i end up getting an S4, i have a totally aftermarket stereo in my current car and know from reading others comments that i will be dissapointed with the low end of the B&O stereo. Are highs and mids solid though? Therefor making the system pretty impressive after replacing the Sub with something with balls?

The B&O stock system is ridiculous. I’ve never heard a stock system this clean and at loud volumes. The only thing it was really missing was the lows. So I fixed that problem with this setup. :) Even the mids and highs are super clean already. I had the rear deck and trunk matted as well so it’s solid. The box is full fiberglass, and super light. I think the dynomat is heavier than the amp and sub components. lol This is the first system that I have not wanted to rip out of a car. I couldn't believe how good it sounded, just needed a little extra low.

That's a big +1 on B&O. Great, great system out of the box (minus the lows).
only other thing that it may be missing is max volume, but that's only in extreme cases and maybe its just me.
my audio guy offered me to replace a stock amp with something more powerful keeping all the speakers (sub is already upgraded), but I'm sticking with what I've got for now.

Deckdout2 - very nice sub/amp install. Always good to see additions to your nicely built car.
Post up a picture of a gain control when you can.

What's the specs on the wheels? 20x9 with what back spacing? Do you rub at all? I am loving this setup. Want to get those springs as well. If you don't rub are these springs going to settle a bit more over time causing an issue then? I can't afford coilovers, maybe H&Rs, so hoping the springs can hold me over a few years.

I don't have any spacers, and I believe the offset is +35eta on all 4 corners with 255 tires. No rubbing unless I hit a really big dip in the road, and with rear seat passengers. I've had these springs for over a year, and I won't change to coilovers so I can keep my ADS and I have no reason to. The drop is perfect for me, the ride has zero complaints, and I still have full control over my ADS. Springs usually settle about a week after you install them so it's not going to settle anymore for me.

I've actually fit 2 sets in there on a regular basis with no issues. :)

A buddy of mine has an Audio Shop and has experience with glassing. I can do everything else. We worked on a trade, but I think for him to do the glass box would be about $500. I don't know the exact amount cause we had other variables we negotiated with.

It's custom. :) My buddy that owns a wheel shop down here has perfected the powder and spray of Ghost Chrome just for me. I love it and will probably get any future wheels done in this color. It's very unique and is definitely a one off.

I just changed the bulbs to a 6000k Blesk HID. It's the angle also that gives it that hue. Matches the conversion fogs I did as well.

It's amazing! I thought that it just being aesthetically pleasing was enough, but it really conforms to the interior much better and feels good to the touch when driving. I hate to use this phrase cause it's probably a placebo effect, but I do feel really "in-tune" with my driving and the road.
