I will have a nice review on ST LM reps shortly, keep checking B6 A4 section over winter. Just waiting on rubber. Bimmer dudes love ST wheels.

BBS and RAYS rep manufacturers should die in a fire... And FU to all you posers buying these inferior pieces of shit. If you can't afford the real thing, go buy something original from a different brand, god knows there are tons out there (Rotiform, Forgeline, Vossen, etc, etc...).

Glad you mentioned this and I know many people feel the same way... not being sarcastic either. I think you'll like the unique idea up my sleeve once my wheels are installed, so please check back or i'll try to remember your username & PM you.

Spending $3k+ on wheels is for my next car, a car that is above my entry level luxury sedan.

So much anger....I never said I bought any of those, half the people buying those wheels don't know what they are replicas of anyways

Not angry, but I will not hesitate to give shit to anyone for doing it, and I'm willing to do my part to help BBS stay in business, because they did go into bankruptcy protection, twice already, so it's not like they're doing well. While there is no shortage of quality wheel brands (Rotiform, Champion, CCW, Forgeline, ADV.1, HRE, all the RAYS brands like Volk Racing, Work, etc...), I can't imagine BBS being gone, with all those legendary designs, they are the quintessential German wheel company, even though most of their forged wheels are made in Japan...

I agree with supporting BBS and all of those companies but for people who dont want to spend $3k+ on a set of wheels the newer, less reputable brands make an excellent alternative and they do a hell of a job at marketing on sites such as Audizine and VWvortex. I would love to own a set of BBS wheels but with the economy the way it is the "lesser" wheel brands are very tempting. Also I think if BBS does what rotiform has done and comes out with a line of lower cost cast wheels they would eliminate a lot of their financial stress in the long run by turning the person who would like to own a set of BBS wheels into the proud owner of a set of BBS wheels, it may not stick to their traditional line of lightweight, forged/magnessium alloy wheels but it would continue their legacy and allow them to be a more prominent player in the world of wheels these days. Although they have history and the racing statistics to justify the price, why would someone who paid $15k or less on their car spend close to $5k when all said and done on wheels when they could buy wheels that "look" the same for $1k or less. As much as I was with you at one point on this issue there's no stopping companies like VMR, Miro and Raderwerks from growing even more than they have already and that's something everyone is just going to have to adapt to.

That's a lame excuse, if you don't want to spend 3K, don't get a 1K replica version of 3K wheels, get 1K wheels from one of the many brands that make good quality, original wheels with proper engineering behind them.

I totally understand your logic and I myself will more than likely never run reps. But almost none of the companies that you listed as good original wheel companies sell anything that's 1k for a set. Its just how the market works, demand will always create imitators. And especially true in the VAG world is that everyone is looking for the look, majority of the people don't give a shit if its the real deal or not.

Please point me to a set of wheels that cost 1k that meet all your criteria.

I'll stick to reps for a DD with the roads the way they are.

    You mad bro?

I will continue to buy my "cheap" knockoff wheels for as long as i live

Give me a couple good reasons that your $3000+ wheels are better than mine?

I have a car thats worth 8 g's. Im not going to buy wheels that are worth 1/2 the value of the car. Shit, the 800 bucks i paid for mine was too much for my taste, but i needed wheels that look good.
I could write something cliché and insightful, but that would be too cliché and insightful.

They weigh considerably less (better performance, braking distance, fuel consumption, suspension workload, ect, ect), are much stronger (my forged wheels survived potholes that would demolish any cast rep), with a surface finish that is guaranteed to last longer. But that is all beside the point. You guy make it sound like the entire wheel market is expensive wheels and cheap replicas of those expensive wheels and nothing else... There is a wide selection of cheap wheels that aren't replicas. Most of them are better built too. Reps of good aftermarket wheels are for posers, regardless of what you tell yourself.

Why so much anger? Haha. A lot of people can't afford expensive wheels. So much shit seems to come up with me that I can barely afford tires for my stock wheels. I understand that they are copying and whatnot but sometimes they price themselves out of the general publics price range. Most people who still own b6's or have just picked them up can't justify dropping 3k on wheels when the car itself may not even be worth 12 to 15 depending on the year model and mileage. Most less than that.

Definition of too big of a rim right there (for my taste at least). What is that 235/25/21? IF they even make that size.

That's my predicament too, although I would have to totally re-do my suspension to run 18s properly.

Also you need front tint, just looks weird IMO.
