    Changing Front Brake Pads... HELP!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Got both pads on and put the front a back half of the caliper back on but they won't close all the way. I'm assuming I need to compress the brake caliper but I'm not sure how ti do it. I have the Compressor tool but I dont know where to secure it or anything... Could someone give me detailed instructions on how to get the caliper to close all the way? TIA

I used a pair of channel locks

works just fine just squeeeeeze, oh and make sure your not going to over flow your reservoir.

DO NOT do this to the rear, the rear needs to be spun while its pushed in.

Spun? Do you mean the piston needs to be spun when compressing? Just curious.

make sure the cap is off the reservoir before you compress the piston.
Expenses in F1 have gone down since the 1960s because teams don't need an extra pit crew to help the driver carry around his balls when he is not in the car.

This is all information I have. I really need to know what two points the C-Clamp or pliers should be compressing.

I did the rear brakes today and what a pain in the ass. My problem was I bought the cheap Napa piston tool. Sucked, real hard to turn. Fronts were way easier.
