you cant go wrong with a 675, i absolutely love it and i dont see myself ever getting rid of it. i rode all the 600s from the big four, this is by far the best IMO, close 2nd would be an r6. the intake & exhaust sounds these things make are like no other, not to mention it sounds like a supercharger whining from the straight cut gears.

It truly was a toss up between the 675R and the R6. I watched YT comparison videos, read up on the comparisons and test rode both....it came down to the 675R; it just seemed like the bike I wanted to cut through the corners and turns versus just hauling ass down a straight line.

And yes, most-def on that "whine", VERY unique!

Woa, woa, woa....how did I miss this?!?!?! Almost a year later and I'm just NOW seeing this?!?! WTF, where have I been!?!? I even posted in this thread and STILL didn't even see it!

Anyways, when I had my Bolt 950 R-Spec, I swapped rides with my friend and rode his 2011 Black/Gold Daytona 675 SE. I can honestly say I absolutely fell in LOVE with that bike. It wasn't like any other 600/650 I've ever ridden. Fast-forward three years later with the selling of my Bolt plus several test rides of the 675R, I'm looking forward to owning this beast. I'm planning to pick it up at the end of this week in LI, NY.

....Insurance question for all....

When I had insurance on my Bolt, I did the "basic" at 25/50/14 on liability and uninsured with NO cash value payout for total loss/theft, NO deductible, NO trailering/towing. Now that I'm a little older and I might have something that is possibly more akin to being stolen, I'm considering "FULL" (or what I consider to be 'Full') coverage at 50/100/40 WITH payout if total loss/theft, 1000 deductible and towing.

Thoughts?

Nope...I'm keeping the OEM exhaust, not a fan of the aftermarket setups. If I do upgrade the exhaust, I "might" consider an Arrow but I love the way the D675R sounds as is. I spent this past saturday replacing the giant golf ball sized hole on the front upper of the exterior cockpit.

I'll post pics in a bit
