    Not sure if this has been said before, but just to make it easier to search in the future, heres the definite answer on the differences between auto and manual trim.

    They are actually exactly the same lol



    Same part numbers, so the difference is just in the trim ring around the outside of the opening

    The screw pattern is slightly different between the auto opening trim and the manual shift boot


    Heres the auto trim with a manual shifter in reverse


    And the same thing but in 6th


    So if your planning on doing the swap, but want to keep your trim setup, all you need to do it get a custom shift boot made up and installed, or pickup a stock shift boot and screw it into place.
