I seriously think the s4 avus wheels are the worst wheels that one can put on our cars.

IMO the Avus look better. May just be the color tho. With the gunmetal wheels, you see the fender marker and chrome window trim alot more. With the Avus they just blend in.
    I'm a B5 guy though so I'm biased as well :)

Yours look great! Looks like 19'' reps?

I decided to go with the S-Lines except I'm having them re-powder coated. I should have them back by next week and I have a new set of tires sitting in my garage ready to be mounted!

I agree! Well in the picture the wheels are dirty (brake dust) but the shade of gunmetal on there now is a rather 'dirty' gunmetal.

Thats why I'm having them re-powder coated to more of a dark silver/charcoal that is similar to the OEM titaniums (might be a tad lighter).

    Threadjack:

I have the B7 S-Line wheels on my black B7 S-Line haha... Anyway - I'm currently looking into lowering it just a little bit more (H&R probably) as I don't care for coilovers (I've had really nice coilover setups and shock/spring setups and I've decided for what I want I'll be happy with a nice shock/spring setup!).

Wish I could spend the money on new wheels right now but putting the wifey through her second bachelors doesn't allow that... So what should I do with the stock s-line wheels: black, bronze, gold, or gunmetal? I'm leaning toward bronze - really like the color of the bronze M10 Avante Garde wheels that have been posted recently. I also have the "aftermarket Ti package" haha - black window trim and blacked out grille - I'll post a pic up later tonight.

Thoughts? Persuade me one way or the other!

steps on how to get the zine crowd to like you:
    1) necrobump a thread from 3 years ago
    2) ask said crowd to choose your new wheel color
    3) forget to mention what color your car is or even post pics of said car for comparison
    4) forget rule #22

id say wait till you get the funds for new wheels but if that isnt an option — gunmetal sounds like a solid choice to me, bronze is a beaut but i cant really picture it on the wheels you got

Ive got a set in powder coat black, as they do look decent i would agree they weigh quite a bit. There are heavier and lighter wheels out there. Good luck on your choice! If you wanna see a set of black S4 avus wheels ill find some pics and post them up.
