    Hi guys i just got my stage 2 by apr done,i love it just wanted to know what our 1/4 mile times with the tune i wanted to be at 13.8 is that possible.

    didn't somebody on here with a stg I APR chp run 13.7? or did he have stg II?

    I wouldn't say it's way lighter, I think the difference is only 100 lbs or so. Either way, 1/4 mile times should be pretty similar. Whatever the average is for a stage2 B7 I'm guessing keep the trap speed the same and maybe add .05-.1

    Breaking 14's with just stage 1 would be difficult. Even with the mods on my car I don't think I could run a high 13.

    LOL....that's FUNNY. Spoken like a B7 owner. Weight difference is minimal.....~100lbs. B8 is 60/40 and has a tonne more TRQ for getting out of the hole. Sorry sir, but I would be simply AMAZED if a Stg1 B7 car beats a Stg1 B8.

    I am about to renew my B8 A4 (waiting for the 2012 facelift). Mine is 2010 1.8TFSI multitronic 4x2, and now I am looking for the 2012 A4 2.0T 211hp, Quattro, but S-tronic 7 gear...(no tiptronic std) Does anybody here tested track or GtechPro 0-60mph and 1/4 mile EST times on a bone stock of those?

    Just for info, magazines and other forums have seen B8 A5 and A4 perform the 1/4 in 14.8-14.9.

    I bought a Bluetooth OBDII scan er and downloaded torque for android and it gives you 0-60, 1/4 Mile and a whole bunch of other goodies for $5. Personally I did the 0-60 on the app and 0-60 on my camcorder and the app was off by about a full second. You can also do 60-100, 80-100' 100-0 braking text etc etc. Check it out. Also gives you a estimate of horsepower to th wheels, and I must say it is pretty damn accurate.

    It would concern me if the app was off 0-60 by a full second and assume the horsepower is accurate. Are you comparing to an output from a dyno? I may be mistaken, but I think they are using the time required to accelerate a mass to a specific speed and backing the horsepower out of that.

    Concerns aside... It still might be neat to play with. Thanks.

    I said Gtech Pro because mine shows typical times 0.1s off the Race America 1/4 mile Tree... Just want to have numbers before purchasing the car. I love the multitronic gearbox, to bad there is no Quattro version. I have heard all kind of rumors on the s-tronic reliability... older bad ones, new ones better. I know tiptronic would be more idiot-proof but then worries me if it is good for launching 1/4 mile and fuel consumtion/power loss issues. Any feedback appreciated...

    Yeah, the HP from app is very close to real dyno figures. The delay in 0-60 is due to the gps lag ( so I think ) obd Bluetooth was only 20 and app was 5 so for 25 it's not too shabby. Plus I scanned my cars for errors and found two minor issues. Well worth it

    Hey, modded B8 S4's are doing 12.5 or so. I would imagine that a B8 A4 with a Chip and a Pipe could hit high 13's. Look at the Torque numbers from APR's site. Looks like they could help get a B8 down the track a full second faster than stock?

    Perhaps I know what power to expect modded, bacause I am a chiptuner, I do my own software. That´s why my question is more on the stock traction/weight/gearbox/performance. i.e. What is the starting point... for example, Does the s-tronic in 2.0T A4 B8 have launch function?

    with stg 2 on pump ran 14.7 and on 100 oct. ran 14.3. i have not ran since stg 3, but would guess high 13s on pump and mid to high 13s on 100 oct. doubt most stg 2 cars would dip into the 13s. I've been doing 1/4 mile racing since the early 90s

    I know of at least one Stage 2 (APR) B8 that ran 13.4 running 100oct tune but with 93 fuel+meth.
    My other home is an AIRSTREAM.

    Intake- stock, cat-back- stock, wheel OEM heavy weight 6-spoke rims+225/50 R17 winter kumho. Launch from 5000-5200rpm after 3-4 revs up.

    I'd love to see APR K04, Full exhaust, Intake, short shifter, 100 octane and front mount in the 1/4. I think 12's is possible. The 300whp mark would have to be broken.

    I have over 300 whp but the tracks in my area are closed. Trying to get a bunch of audiziners to come to englishtown raceway in NJ the first week it opens in march. Will start thread closer to opening day.

    One last question related.... Does the 2.0T s-tronic gearbox do launch control? (i.e. Does it let you rev´d to 3000rpm in sport or manual while braking?)

    This is just from the iPhone app g-tac free, so I don't know how accurate it is, but it said 0-60 in 5.35sec. Have not tried 1/4 mile yet

    I have 270whp. 12s... impossible! 30whp can't cut 0,5-0,6sec from 1/4mile!

    So 13.0-13.2 is maximum! The reason is gearbox- 3rd is too long 104-105mph at 6900rpm. My friend has Mazda Speed 3- 3rd gear ends at 80-82mph, 4rd 105mph! Thats why his car deliver more power to the road.

    An S4 with 320whp can run 12.6 stock and the A4 is 300lb lighter.

    As you can see, A4 has stupid long gears for fuel economy.

    That is the DSG, the 8speed Stronic is not DSG.
    My info came from http://models.audiusa.com/a4-sedan/d...specifications go to the "chassis" tab
    That low final drive is why the first gear is so tall. I would not mind a slightly taller rear end. I miss the old 4.93 I had in my camaro.
