Yes. I just installed in on my car a week ago. There was a small fitment issue so I had to trim some plastic of the front bumper plate. Still waiting for an answer from Unitronic support.
I really like the design of the Unitronic FMIC. The whole core is exposed to air flow and will give max cooling.

When temp dropped to 18C I could go out and log it like I did with the stock FMIC and the 3.0TDI FMIC.
    Here are the result:

I kind of knew it would be a bit better but I did not expect 8C cooler compared to the 3.0TDI. The reason I am upgrading is that I am also upgrading my turbo to a K04. (log was made with the IHI K03)

I have a lot of pictures in my K04 thread if you want to have a look:

Thanks for the graph, how much did you pay for Unitronic fmic? The reason i ask, is a 8 degree C (12.8F) improvement over the 3.0TDI hardly seems like its worth it, that small of a temp change is well within the ECU's limit of adjustment. Also, you dont really see a significance temp change until you get past 4750 rpms, so in your opinion is the 3.0tdi better suited for the stock turbo, daily driver and the Unitironic is maybe a better bigger turbo (K04 +) fmic?
Stage 1 more than you RS3

    Uni FMIC was $899 + shipping $250.

For a daily driver the 3.0TDI is pretty good. It also gives you a stock look if you have warranty on the car. Would be hard to see the upgrade I think.
Only reason I am upgrading is because I am going for the K04 turbo. The 3.0TDI IC will be fine on a stage 1/2 tune.
But if you drive hard in a hot condition (like Florida) I probably would have consider a bigger FMIC like the Unitronic one.
Remember this is only first pull. If you continue pushing the IC it might get heat soak if its hot outside.

I have the Revo tune and the chart is from Revo stage 2 using the stock IHI K03 turbo.
I don't think the tune brand should have anything to say.

I'm interested in this myself... Looks to be very good quality for around 700$

They used to regularly be in the $850-900 range on sale, with the turbo muffler delete and hard pipes that's a reasonably good deal. Unfortunately they haven't run that deal in over a year...

If my calculations are correct then this ic has a 17.5l core volume. Wonder about turbo lag?

We are talking about this ic right?
    Wagner FMIC

On the wagner page they say:
    "178% more cooling surface and 158% more volume (Core dimensions 610mm x 440 mm x 65mm)"

and on 034M page they say:
    "610mm x 440mm x 65mm core, providing a 78% larger cooling surface and 58% more volume"

    but same dimension :)

    Anyway 6.1dm * 4.4dm * 0.65dm = 17.44dm^3 = ~17.4L core volume.

So closer to 158% over stock than 58% as 034 writes.

Also look at the test result. 19C ambient gives a max IAT at 26C where stock IC is 62C

    Unitronic FMIS is ~10.4L

Will be fun to hear from some one testing the wagner IC about lag and IAT temps.

How does this compare to the AWE one? I was leaning towards that one but I'm digging this one for its looks (black).

17.4L is pretty impressive. I will be installing a CTS turbo FMIC hopefully next weekend. According to CTS specs the IC should be at 11.3 L... Not too shabby

Cool. Do you have VCDS to do some logging?
Also if you could measure the distance from the IC to the crash bar to see if it fulfill the 45 degree rule.

Went back to stock FMIC and charge pipes from the Eurocode FMIC this weekend.
The car is noticeably slower on 93 octane tune now and throttle response seems slightly worse.
So to answer the question: is the 2.5 inch piping and core worse for lag and throttle response over stock?
The answer is no, not from my experience.
