If auto insurance wasn't so high to own an Evo, I would actually pull the trigger on an Evo 9.. But until that day comes when my auto insurance rates drop dramatically, I will have to stick with a crotch rocket and Hondas to satisfy my speed addiction.

people keep saying evo insurance is really high, but i never really understood why? i mean like its not a convertable or anything, its a 4 door that can semi pass for a family car!

Well, I just got off the phone with Esurance regarding a quote on adding an Evo 9 MR to my policy and I was quoted $1150 every 6 month for full coverage. Compare that to my Audi which I'm only paying $620 every 6 months for full coverage.

I'll admit it has gone down significantly since 2007 (mostly due to me getting older). I remember being quoted $2300 every 6 months for an Evo - the monthly payment for the Evo was about the same as the insurance premium!
