It does say that this is for many older VW and Audi. I wonder if it will work on ours, or if it needs to be done on ours.

@NWS4Guy - Any comments on pad/rotor wear? How many miles have you had this kit on now? Thanks!

I'll take some pics, but dust and wear as similar to the ST pads I swapped to before getting the BBK - MUCH less dust than stockers make. My rear rotors have a nice blue hue to them from the heat, but the ST's are still pretty untouched by any amounts of stopping that put the blueing on the rears. Pad wear seems negligible, as does rotor wear from what I can tell without having done any measurements at installation.

I have about 2700 miles on these to date since install on the fronts - the rear pads have over 10K miles on them.

Right on. Thanks man. Good to hear that pad wear and dust is fairly low on the street. Looks like this may be the direction I need to go. I can't believe you got these for free!! Crazy...

My motivation for a BBK is 50% looks, 50% functionality. So I don't need a crazy kit like the Brembo or Alcon. That being said, I have had the factory brakes smoking on the street and ran into some pretty serious fade out at High Plains Raceway East of Denver (a track notorious for eating brakes and tires) after only 5 laps or so. I do plan on tracking this car occasionally in the future and would like more than 5 laps at a time :) Plus, its good peace of mind to have complete confidence in your brakes in all driving conditions.

    Thanks again.

Not completely free but pretty damn close!

In talking to Scott and seeing how hard he stock calipers were even on the ST-Street Perf pads, it only makes sense if you are going to do medium to hard tracking that you get something you can swap pads out easily on. The ST has a removable bridge using an allen wrench on 4 bolts per side to easily swap pads at the track without having to pull the entire caliper. I'd recommend just going all in and not risking the issues Scott saw on the ST street/perf pads and just get some nice track duty pads, then give them a good warmup lap or two so they get hot enough for good bite.
