it's not the PCV valve. took that out, and now I'm having trouble getting everything back in.

the new plastic hose/tube I have is a massive pain in the ass and TBH, I think that's the problem. It doesn't fit snug on the little valve underneath the manifold. I might have to go silicon hose for that.

you mean it doesn't sit in that cavity opening in the last picture you posted? The last picutre you posted that i'm refering to is a view through the intake manifold.. is that what you're talking about?

no that is fine, that's the "funnel" or 90 degree hose that goes to the oil filter housing. That's clipped and all good.

I'm talking about the top red line here:

I am going to try and get it back on there. I don't have a car right now and none of my roommates are home so I can't get any heater hose anyway, but once I do I am going to ditch the $53(!) shitty plastic hose and go with the $3 heater hose technique.

Mine is an 05 1.8T. Mine broke of from the top redline on your pic. I used a 3/4" heater hose and on the other end a piece of adapter. Cut it to the correct size I needed and had to soften it up by running hot water on the hose to make it easier to bend. Worked fine. It was PITA to work on!

I'd recommend just using the 3/4" heater hose trick, but if you really want to go OEM, call the dealership with your vin.
