Pretty solid car...There are some electrical glitches with the instrument cluster, mainly lighting...The engine is pretty much bullet proof. Two knock sensors, the most updated CIS fuel injection system (CIS III). The typical suspension parts go bad...(rear transverse links, and assoicated bushings, front tie rods, ball joints, ect, ect) But that is routine service stuff. The climate control can sometimes go on the fritz (mainly a problem with the 5000's). Otherwise, excelent car!!! You should be very happy.!

Deffinately a solid car. I think the 2.2 20v is about the best engine Audi has made. They do have the electrical problems mentioned above, but most (not all but most) can be easily and cheaply fixed with basic skills and tools.

One thing to look at is the breaks. I'm not sure, but I think the '90 had the UFO disks which can be expensive to replace.

The only major problem I know of with them is the headlights of lack of headlights. A Euro light conversio is easy but expensive, but do yourself a favor and at least install some aftermarked fog lights under the bumper.

Well, if it's a 1990 200TQ, it still has the 10v turbo. The 1991 200TQ had the 20v turbo and the UFO brakes.
Yep. Those lights suck. You could also swap the lights out of a 100 (or 5000s). They work 100 times better, but don't look nearly as good as the "turbo" lights (same ones on the 1986-88 5000CS turbos, and of course the 200's.) The grill needs to be changed as well (the grill for the 100's has the smaller rings on it) All this can be done for probably around a $100.00, see your local boneyard.
