I didn't really pay attention. Was just watching the tach and road, but it looks like 3rd and 4th gear hold 25 psi pretty steadily.

Do you recommend the DV and HPFP upgraded with the k04?
Awesome! I am glad that my thread helped you, which is why I went through all the trouble of the write ups and pics.

Currently I have 54k miles on the car.

The upgraded DV, for me, was a peace of mind part. Supposedly it had seized up once before and was stuck open (per audi, so grain of salt my friend) and caused some issues. So that was my main reason to purchase it. After all the upgrades I had performed, performance wise, it made sense to upgrade this as well. Also, it sounds pretty amazing.

As for the HPFP, while it may be an upgrade for 2009 vehicles, it is not an actual upgrade. Mine was faulty and was leaking fuel past the HPFP seals and piston and into the cylinder head causing all sorts of problems. When I decided to replace it, the new HPFP was a different revision then mine. It seemed a bit heavier and had a couple subtle design differences than mine. AFAIK, there is no aftermarket HPFP for the B8 on the market. If you have an '09, I would not upgrade until you busted the one you currently have.

That does make sense. But what does it sound like? Is it OEM subtle or rally car PSSST/Warble loud?

I will create a sound byte but I think it sounds great. It has more of a rushing of air sound then a high pitched squeal, which is typically found in standard BOVs. If I were to give it a rough correlation to another sound, I would say it resembles a subtle air brake chamber release. If any of you are familiar with this sounds, its what you hear on a bus or truck when the brakes are released. One difference being that air brakes usually have a slight groan at the end or beginning, which is not heard from the DV. It is mainly the rush of air that is heard...If that makes any sense at all. I travel Sunday and wont be back till mid next week. At that time, I will grab my mic and do a HQ sound test similar to the one I did for my exhaust.

Thanks. That does make sense. Looking forward to hearing how it sounds.
