    o2 Spacer options

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hi guys,

I ordered a Eurocode HFC and was looking at o2 spacer options to prevent throwing a CEL. Below are the only ones i've been able to find. Can you guys comment on which you are using or which is better? not sure if our o2 sensor is made by bosch or not. on my old car, i used a spacer similar to the 034 motorsport unit and it worked great. i've never seen one like the one rai motorsport sells

    thanks

Why not get a proper tune (see: APR stage 2) that eliminates the CEL and gives you the added benefits of more power and smoother delivery?

Maybe he needs the O2 sensor reading to pass emissions.

Sorry, yes, i need the spacer to pass emissions. But, i am also scheduling an appt to get an APR flash to take advantage of the Spring special they have going on.

Thanks for the help, i'm going to order the 034 spacer for Bosch units.

I remember you mentioning this spacer a while back. Do you no longer have the custom downpipes because this spacer failed to work long-term or did you get rid of them for another reason?

I installed a Eurocode HFC a little over a week ago. I popped a P0420 code (second O2 out of tolerance) fairly quickly (not unexpected). I know that once I push software it would go away but it would still show up as Emissions not ready if scanned. Decided to give RAI spacer a shot. I ordered over the weekend. Monday, I got the shipped notification which was nice. I'm not far away but was surprised to have it on my doorstep Tuesday evening (UPS ground). Excellent build quality. I installed it and cleared my CEL, I have only gotten one shakedown drive to try and set the CEL again. I wish it had came with a guide to what orifice to install for different applications. If it helps I went no orifice installed. If this fails then I will record the O2 voltage reading and work my way down the sizes.

Sorry, little bump to see how this has held up with some more miles on it. I'm going to be putting the 034 HFC on and need a spacer. I don't want to get the APR testpipe file so I will need a solid spacer to pass emissions. Visual inspection is another issue but I'm not as worried about that as the sensor, etc.

Installed in June and even without putting any of the available orifices (even more gas reduction) I have yet to have any codes pop up. I am really impressed at the RAI hardware its quite a value.

I've had my strat 90* spacer on for over a year with no issues, although it took a few weeks after install to stop getting a cel

Yeah, I only get a CEL when I'm doggin' it and let off the gas super quickly/and or brake to slow down fast.
