Not sure what size injectors Greg/David/Charlie were running when they all made 300-330whp on race gas with their Elim kits.

FT is not a K04, it is basically a hybrid that flow like a GT28r and GT2x.

BTW just look at Mike's(Jet Jockey's) old setup, that was considered a K04.

It wouldn't have to be a 1 off file if they then turn it into a file that can be sold to the public. It sure wouldn't be the first time it happened. I had them do a BT tune for a 2001 with a Elim kit when they did not offer one yet.
It just depends on who asks them to do it and if they are willing to spend a little time tweaking the timing map curve.

Like Ecode? Doesn't really seem like something they'd be interested in though... don't see too much of them anymore.

    Who am I forgetting?
Yes Ecode. I even suggested to Doug(slappy) that I would be willing to talk to Ecode, GIAC and 034 about doing a FT tune.

2011 is a much different business environment than 2001 for the B6 A4. They won't do it.

Someone (dealer) should buy maestro and make a perfect file for the FT, then call tapp and ask for a group buy on the suite at a lower cost, from there share/sell the FT file with the end users...then you have a great file with all the added benefits of maestro...

The duty cycle is pretty nice on the 440's, with a 200g/s car without water methanol it hits about 80% peak. At 210+ g/s things get into the mid/high 80's. Target AFR is the huge factor here and is dependent on tune/octane/ambient temp etc. To move beyond this point you really need to get around rising IAT's particularly in 90 degree heat, if water/methanol is used then you're supplementing your injectors and they'd be more than adequate.

The 440's work very well and are an all around great value, the 550's are more advanced and if cost is not a barrier than they would work quite well as well. The tune at this point has over 50 maps customized to support this system and 550's could be part of a custom remote tune.

There is a thread over in VWVortex.com in the forced induction forum. I can't link it since I am on my phone, but they were making a custom tune with the help of some people. I can't recall the exact info since I havnt been there in a while. But I can link it later, or someone here can find it and do that...maybe this will help with the tuning questions?

550's sounds better to me, but not for the money.

So if you're running UNI stage 2+ and just install 415cc injectors, wouldn't there be ill effects?? or are you guys saying the ECU will adapt??

Not sure, and I don't want to buy 4 inj to find out it idles like crap.

However word is Uni is working on the B6 2++ file now!!! yeah yeah. If it is like the MKIV file, it will use 440cc injectors. I'll keep everyone up to date here.

Installing mine in a week or two....still can't decided which tune -_-
I'd be happy to run bigger injectors than TT 225s as you mentioned that its already maxed out

I 2nd the motoza tune. There has been no official word on uni 2++ for the B6 in a while.

Uni seems to be pulled in many different directions, but their desire to try and hit all the requests is appreciated. However, the bottom line is that they tune via octane so I'm betting if they do release a FT tune it will be 93 specific. No good for us CA kids.

Unless something has changed, that should be it. Perhaps you should shoot your future tuner and email and see what he says ;-)

Side note, if I was not starting school in 2 weeks I would FULLY take those seats off you Francis. But no more mods for me. Sad Panda.

Damn, delivery even? That would be awesome. Hmmm.

I have the non-perforated, non-power, non-heated ones. But that doesn't concern me. Don't really care about that stuff. For some bizarre reason, my driver's seat is like worn out... it has little cushion and kinda bottoms out a bit. Came that way from the PO. I think her husband was a big fella or something? That's all I can think of.

Back on track, yup... it is a fixed cost and thus far there have been very positive things said about Motoza. But more importantly, you'd be getting a tune customized to your setup + fueling. I know I keep mentioning that, but it's something that does make a difference for us poor folk w/ 91.

^^ yeah let me know if you want em. pm me your email address and I'll send you pics, just be patient waiting when I'm gonna deliver it, may be August or before that?LOL

I'm definitely sold on Motoza, post #86 kind of help me decide to go with 550cc instead and CTS still has them on sale for about $50 each. Have to agree regarding the fuel, needs a tune that will put smile on my face even if I only put pump gas. Don't to drive 30-50 miles away from my place just to get a 93-95 octane, which cost $$$.

So who should I pm/send an email to again? I forgot who it was lol.

We'll discuss. I'm not in any serious rush as my car will likely be parked semi-permanent status from mid July on. Not gonna bring my A4 to The City.

First off, please do not support CTS' morally flexible business practices by giving them a cent of your hard earned money. Jeff Lee has done far too much for this community, we need to support him by not supporting CTS.

You can find the Bosh 550's for ~$50 here:

^^ LOL yeah, I read that thread...didn't know I forgot to type "don't worry, that's all I'm gonna buy from them LOL"

I'll shoot you an email by tom. regarding the seats

As for the plan, no crazy plans here coz I'm in college budget so all my funds will be coming from my part time job only. And still has monthly payments til Nov. -_-
Anyways, hopefully I dont pass $2k to make all these work. already got a descent FMIC w/ piping and the FT4 setup for $950.

If I pass the $2k mark, I might be forced to sell my recaros or just the boser hood =/

    alright, he replied!

Unfortunately, they recommend 440 injectors :/ "We recommend the 440's and have good experience setting up these injectors. Can tune to any injector but it is quicker/easier with the 440's" - Dave

I told him my car can be a hamster to test the 550 injectors. I really hope he agrees so we can see the full potential of this turbo as someone mentioned that the FT4 is almost maxing out 440s. for the right price, I'll be more than happy to help develop the 550 tune =)

I tend to agree with Dave, with an added wrinkle: put the intercooler money into w/m. You can bump your octane while keeping the IATs at a good level. And the added fuel will more than cover you for any (unlikely) injector shortfall.

I already have the FMIC though, is it gonna create any problem of I run both FMIC and w/m at the same time with the FT4?
I haven't bought the injectors yet thats why discussion is still open: 440 vs 550. If Dave says to just stick with 440, I'll just do it and then install w/m like mentioned ^^

I haven't bought the injectors yet thats why discussion is still open: 440 vs 550. If Dave says to just stick with 440, I'll just do it and then install w/m like mentioned ^^

    thanks!
No issues with FMIC and W/M. Works great together. Go with 440's, than get yourself on the dyno!

probably gonna add w/m later on as I want to save up some $$$ for now.

Dave told me that he'll think about 440 vs 550 though =)

Really... he's considering 550's even on 91? Oh wow.

I know this was kinda discussed to death in the other thread but if it is indeed a possibility, well this is pretty exciting stuff.

^^ yessirr, we'll see what happens though. Don't really want to force him to do the tune for 550...but why not if he insist

    w/m sounds awesome but that's another $350-$500

Thomas, you got my email right? sent it last monday
