OffSet tips to go from dual to quad?

So a little while ago I got just plain straight on tips and they wouldn't work since if lined up with the hole of the muffler they would be too much to the outside. So that means to go to a quad I need to either have my awe cut up and modified to fit those somehow or someone said i would need offset tips since those should work...........anybody do this? I know sexican did something similar with remus tips...
