I have these coils and yes, the fronts will put your frame on the ground. However, the rears are a totally different story. I can barely get a decent tuck in the rears with them maxed out. I've heard that if you remove the adjustment perches you maybe able to get another 1/2 inch or so. Any of you guys have this problem?

I have KWs which are basically the same as the STs.. Yes I had that problem with the rears so I did take out the rear perch rings. No problems/noises what so ever to report I just need to lower the front some more

I was confused about going with the st's or the v1's but just got a deal on the v1's for 300$ more so i guess i should go with the v1's? since there is lots of calcium in mtl streets and the v1's are made of inox

Sweet stance! Love the wheels too man.

Here's the lowest I could get my ST's to go in the rear and how the car sits currently.

Might have to look into removing the perch.

Definitely go with the V1s they are less likely to cease up but it is still go practice to take your wheels off once and awhile to clean and lube them. Other then that there basically the same coilover.

    Thanks Q!

Coilovers wont push your wheels out. You need spacers and a good ET for that.

Will someone please post pictures of the rear setup. I have these on my B6 S4(basically the same setup) and the rears dont go as low as I wanted. I have about a 1 finger gap between teh wheel and fender, in the rear. The front is no issue. Im just wondering how the coil can stay in place without a rear perch.

Come to think about it. I do get clunking when it's cold outside(which it is here) and at lower speeds. Im starting to get pissed now, because I have taken my car to two shops to adjust the rear suspension and it does NOT go that low, and now, the shit is clunking. It's a hassle and a waste of my money.

Uff dunno what to do .. I was ready to pull out a trigger on those but this thread confused me with these noises and the rears that are not low enough .. Is it worth it getting the kw instead? Or stasis?

How is the stiffness on this ride? I have to ride with people in the back at times with 18x9.5 et 35 but want stanced ride, does it sag enough to start rubbing?

I have no close up pics of the rear right now but I have just about a 1/2 finger gap as well. You dont remove the entire perch, just the adjustment perch/ring.

I don't have any noise issues but I can tell you from experience that you won't be happy with the rear if you plan on going really low. I haven't tried removing the adjusment perch yet but I can't imagine that it would give you anymore than 1/4 of an inch. Swapping out the spring with another aftermarket set would probably be your best bet.

Stiffer than stock but nowhere near uncomfortable IMO. If you load the car with people, it will sag a bit and depending on how low you are, it may cause you to rub.

Removing the perches get them low or just some different rear springs.

I have STs on my b5 s4. The stiffness is as close as I've felt to stock and I can tuck my stockies both front and rear.

As far as the clunking problem, I've been put in touch with an ST rep for warranty replacement. They send you out a little chart where they ask for your ride height (hub to fender). I think they're seeing this problem (usually on pass/rear side) at lower heights. Haven't heard what the verdict is yet.

All in all I'm very happy with them. If this doesn't get taken care of, ill switch to v1s. I went with STs because we don't have rust issues in colorado.

I bought mine through AMI and literally have NEVER had a better customer service experience. Excellent guys to work with!!

so are there serious rust issues with those who have ST's on the east coast. those who experience salted roads, humidity, lot of rain, etc...any feedback on this issue? i'm moving to boston soon and ST's are in my future plan but not if they rust easily or break down easily do to weather.

I bought my set last week ajd a set for my friends gti from ami. And they seriously had the best customer service and it took 2 days to recieve them. As for rust, in montreal we have very salty roads but people greese up their coilovers with marine greese

Stupid rear that does not go low at all. I don't know why they can't make them go lower, front still have about 10 turns to go.
I'll remove the perch but then again it won't be as low, kinda sucks.

How is the handling? Looks like enough low to me for my own taste, i bought these to go a little lower but more for better handling. Mine are supposed to arrived today according to FEDEX.
