Since everyone got so excited by the possibilty of a group buy on these mounts Apikol has decided to offer them at a reduced introductory price.

As was mentioned in this thread clicky clicky, scroll to bottom, Apikol is switching to a newer, machined mount as opposed to the old style cast one. This will increase the price on these mounts over their cast predecessors.

As an Apikol dealer, JHM can sell the newer CNC machined mount at the price of the old cast mounts, $209 for a limited time. After this introductory sale the retail price will jump to $239!

This price will not last long! We can only offer this intro pricing for one week after these mounts become available!

I am a a newb to the awd system. Can you explain the advantages of using this mount versus the stock? Is this upgrade similar in nature to that of the snub mount, replacing a poor factory mount in favor of a stronger substitute.

This piece helps keep the drivetrain on your car locked down. Yes it's similar to the snub mount in that it replaces a factory mount that tends to wear down over time or with increases in power. This mount will help eliminate that "clunk" noise/feeling that comes from the drivetrain under shifting.

Since they've yet to make any machined units in the B6/B7 chassis, they don't have any pictures available of the B6/B7 mounts yet. It'll be similar to the C5 mount pictured here.

I'm not noob but want to ask if this mount has any real benefits on a tiptronic trans B7. I've always thought the rear diff mounts work for manual versus automatic.

The rear diff mount will work for a tiptronic transmission. The mount will still absorb slack from the drivetrain that is noticeable under hard acceleration and especially under high rpm downshifts.

It's the same as far as the ease of install goes. You just unbolt the stock unit, remove it, then bolt the Apikol unit back in. You're probably looking at a half hour for installation.

That group buy was a looooong time ago on their earlier mount. This new CNC machined mount probably costs Apikol that much to make it. We can't go that low. I think the decision to buy this one is pretty easy: You buy it now and get it for $210 or get it later for $240? Hmmm...
