Everyone that had a problem should complain to the NHTSA

    File complaint here:

Took me literally less than 5 minutes using their "Long" form to provide full details. You need to have your VIN#.

I put in a complaint on the design defect for the trunk latch. I did some searches on 2005 A4 model to see the number of complaints. There was a whoping 2 complaints (including mine) on this trunk issue! From reading forums, it seems like there should be a heck a lot more official complaints. Google searches yielded a lot of complaints too. I searched for other issues too on the fuel pump (cam follower) or general engine, there were about 3-4 complaints filed! No wonder Audi is not moving their butt on these issues.

Good news was there were 47 complaints filed on LIGHTING. I lodged a complaint to AoA on the issue and talked to some low level girl name Melissa. She basically was reading from a book. She "discovered" my car qualified for the coil repairs. Told her I already had done myself so the records are misleading. She couldn't understand the concept that I didn't get the recall repair at the dealer and kept insisting I bring it in to get the coil done
Waste of time talking to AoA first level support. I would suggest ask for a manager immediately. Don't waste your breath.

So when you "qulify" for these defects. You take it to Audi and they replace stuff for free, correct?

I think I completely miss the sarcasm intended in your comment.
