I took everything off the trunk, including the rings. I think it makes it look a lot cleaner. To each their own, though

    That is my vote

don't just leave the Quattro though, IMO it just looks werid and tacky. But you can always just start taking pieces off until you find a combo you like.

yeah, red a3. not sure about taking everything off. i think i'm leaving the rings. i already have plans; blacked out grill (including the rings), black wheels and black rear rings. oh, and i like the "s-line" badges. :)

not taking pics of my ride yet...too high...too stock. haha!

by the way, SwampCat84, i really love the look of your ride. we need to hook up before i head back up to seattle (for work (late next week or the following week)) so i can get some shots of it. or you can wait till i'm back down for good, which might be mid-feb or so.

You should come out to Malibu for the cruise this Sunday! Some of us A3 peeps are going to split off from the rest of the group and go take pics on PCH somewhere..

Dont worry about it being stock.. Mine was a complete SUV when I started posting pics of it up here! haha. Just got my suspension a few weeks ago. :)

Heres one of my blacked out grille..

i'd love to go sunday, but i have prior commitments.

did you do the grill yourself? did you have to take off the bumper to black out the grill? how'd you black it out?

Originally I did it myself.. I just sanded, primed, painted, and clear coated all the chrome pieces.. but after a few months it was chipping so I had my body guy paint them for me a couple weeks ago. You have to remove the bumper cover and then remove the grille from the bumper to get the pieces off without breaking tabs or damaging anything.. Its not that big of a deal.. very simple and straight forward. If you have questions I can help you out. :) Pre-facelift bumper removal is a bit different I believe, but I used a pre-facelift bumper removal DIY when I did mine the first time... :)

I'd definitely just leave the rear rings on. For some reason I like my car better without the rings/anything when its matte. Never liked it without the rings when it was gloss for some reason.
