Ive been searching for quite some time, and i was wondering if you guys that own the 3.2 VR6 MK2 TT had any pictures or drawings of the exhaust for research i am doing about upgrading my exhaust. I would love to put my car up on a lift, but unfortunately i dont have access to one for a while and ramps are not an option aswell.

if anyone can help that would be greatly appriciated!

idk is it me, or the TT section is dying? :((
If you don't need both hands on the wheel, then you're NOT driving.

YAY for TT 3.2 cars ! ;) That exhaust looks restrictive 2 - 1-2 Your notes were correct, downpipes have the two cats, not sure what the intermediate can things are just before the 2-1. Did you ever find a good aftermarket down pipe and exhaust kit?

i ended up removing the cats which opened up the exhaust note a bit, still very bearable under normal driving, but opens up a bit over 3K rpms. . . i was going to go custom 3", but there is a clearance issue with rear axle/haldex/etc. therefore 2.75" is probably the largest option ive noted. since then ive opted for the sports magnaflow system. replaces the whole cat back portion, replacing the rear resonator and suitcase muffler with a smaller, less restrictive resonator and muffler. it hasnt been released unfortunately, but will be installing it as soon as they release it and i get my hands on it.

off the bat, i can say one of the pros is the weight reduction magnaflow vs. OEM. the suitcase muffler is larger and relatively heavy. with the magnaflow being a fraction of its size in regards to muffler and resonator, i can almost confirm a good difference in weight. magnaflow also claims 9hp/9tq gain.
