    Question

This is the most thorough thread I've seen about LED load resistors. I need help!
One of my door lights uses 12v 5watt bulb (Osram 2825-02E W5W Bulb W2.1x9.5d 5W voltage12V). Here is my Ohm's law calculations 28.8 Ohm, .417 Amps for the OEM bulb.
Now, the LED that I want to replace it with PWR consumption is 14.4 VDC , .22 amps, @ 65.45 Ohms and 3.168 watts.
Which load resistor do I need?

Looks like mine is coming up with the error too... But it just looks like its too much work for me to install these resistors :P So I guess i'll have to deal with the bulb out warning until I can find a set of LED housings that will work.

That actually makes me feel better after the hours I've spent looking for taillights like that in the past. I actually found a similar set on a German website but they were for avants only

good work, I've ordered two sets and both cause no error without need to modify anything. The problem is the screws are not stainless and rust into place and the little units do not match up properly fitment wise and this requires some trimming.
Getting an entirely new rear panel with reverse camera and when this happens plan to install and epoxy in a set of lights so they are sealed from the elements. Moisture seems to be the only enemy here. Such a poor oem design!

Having the biggest problem finding stainless small screws that fit these lights! The ebay lights come with junk metal screws that expand and rust in place and audi sells them with the oem lights which one installing led's would not need!

IIRC, I found SS replacements at Sears Hardware.
