    B7 Manual Swap: Wiring

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Long story short I’m having some wiring concerns.

    Background:
“I have an 2008 Audi b7 Quattro Automatic that I’m doing a manual swap on. I got lucky and found a doner car (2006 b7 Quattro 6spd m/t).

As far as electrical goes I’ve swapped over the cluster, bcm, airbag module, pcm, and ignition switch (column)”.

    Problem:
My issue is the clutch wiring for cruise control and starting.

Where should I wire the clutch pedal switches?
I really don’t want to cut and solder the WHOLE interior harness, but, I will if I have to.

I’m finishing up the mechanical portion this week and I’m left with the wiring, any help with the starting/ cruise portion would be greatly appreciated 🙏

    Thanks guys

The cruise control switch gets one wire to pin 3 of 4 on the brake pedal and one wire goes to ECU pin 39.
The push to start clutch switch: one wire goes to ground and the other wire goes to a pin under the ecu. I dont have the exact location infront of me, but I'd assume it is the signal to the relay for the "Neutral safety switch"
You can also jump the relay for the push to start switch. This is what I did

Got it to crank without the clutch down somehow… cranks for a long time, runs for about 0.5 seconds, then it shuts off

Also, it says “Safe” on the dash,
