Do you have any instructions on how/what to do or was it pretty self explanatory?

Bone stock! It had been sitting for 7 months and the rotors were rusted. Installed new rotors/pads and painted calipers the day I drove it home :)

Young kid maybe 20 had a valid insurance card with a different name on it. I'm assuming it's his father so hopefully Progressive comes through. I asked him to file the claim ASAP yesterday at noon and when I called Progressive at 6 p.m. he hadn't yet done it. I called him and he said he was waiting to talk to his father but at least his number was legit so fingers crossed

Dude, call YOUR insurance, and give them the kid's info. Don't rely on him. This is why you pay for insurance

    Progressive always treated me well.

When I totaled my b6 s4 back in 2012 they wrote me a check for market value and it was actually more than I paid for it so that was nice. They didn't even dick me around to much.

My wife is an insurance too and all the loopholes are kinda dicey

    Good luck!

All is well. Progressive accepted liability and no coverage issues. It will take a bit of time but my car will be good to go in a few weeks.

Progressive is an OK company. Worked there for three years. They were, when I left in 2010, a very difficult company to work for with some pretty over the top rules. Still have a few close friends there and they all agree they are a much more friendly place to work now.

Are you able to go lower if you wanted? And did you need spacers in the rear?

How you like the V2? Do they go lower then the 1.5 inches they state? And did u need spacers in rear? Waiting on mine to arrive.

I like them so far, although itís only been a week. The front has settled slightly lower than the rear so Iíll have to fix that this weekend. Also, in order to adjust the stiffness of the fronts after installation I have to either drill a hole in the top of the front strut mount or drop the strut each time. Pain in the ass. I have them set at ď7Ē clicks all around (out of 16ish), which is slightly stiffer than stock. Iíll be most likely be changing that to a little softer for daily driving.

To answer your question, yes, it will drop lower than 1.5 inches. There are a lot of threads left, both up and down. In total I am over 2 inches total dropped - coming from an allroad however.

For a wagon, the spacers are an absolute must IMO. I know a few people on here have them, and the rear would be maxed out if you didnít use spacers, and/or sag a little vs the front. I bought a 30mm set from ECS and they are working great. Plenty of thread room for adjustment - plus they match, if thatís important to you (it was to me).

Just drill a hole, it will make your life easier. 1/4" bit in the center like this. You then use an allen wrench to adjust the shock since the tool supplied isn't long enough.20180516_082447.jpeg20180516_082441.jpeg

Awesome idea, thanks! Definitely doing this soon. And for the rear since there's a cap, do you just remove the two bolts from the top of the strut, wait for it to drop, than access?

For the rears, just remove the two liner bolts on either side of the shock. You can pull down the liner to access the the top of the shock

Not that Iím aware of, unless Iím wrong. Hopefully Iíll just find the right stiffness setting and leave it for the time being. Even on 7 for me seems a bit stiff.

What Did You Do To Your Avant Today?

Raised the front up a bit, it smoothed out the ride, too. Iíll drive it for a few more days before changing stiffness.

Two days into picking the ride up, installed APR stage 1 tune and added 12/20mm F/R spacers. Itíll do until I can get the new wheels on!

It took me a couple of weeks of dicking around with readjusting mine until they set where I wanted and stopped settling. Rides better after a couple of weeks.

Yeah I guess the electronic dampening is for more of a track car use.

Once you find a sweet spot you'll probably never change it again. Just have to find the sweet spot

Since he is in Camas, he'd be better off ordering from audiusaparts.com which is the Sunset/Beaverton Audi's version of GAP. It'll save him on shipping since he can do will call and go pick it up, but still pay online prices

True but I thought they stopped doing online pricing for pickups? (According to Timjob I think)
