NEW CODES FOUND - Administrators please update the sticky so all my enjoy!

    Tested for several months on a B8.5 2016 S4 w/automatic transmission running 3G+ MMI/Nav

Set Automatic Transmission Start Mode to D or S

    (09 - Cent. Elect.) (Security Access - 10) (Adaptation 10)
    Channel 64 - Stored Value = 218 = Starting mode is always D

Optional values with what they do; more control is always good!
Channel 64 - New Value = 00; Starting mode is determined by ADS selection at engine shutdown (Comfort and Auto=D, Dynamic=S, Individual=whatever you pick)
Channel 64 - New Value = 03; Starting mode is always S regardless of ADS selection at engine shutdown (opposite of stock)
Channel 64 - New Value = 11; Starting mode is S with all ADS settings at shutdown except Comfort where it's D
Channel 64 - New Value = 19; Starting mode is S with all ADS settings at shutdown except Auto where it's D

Yes it works. I can confirm it also effects the exhaust valves but not during a cold start

Because that's right there in VCDS in the Perform SRI function. You can also edit the parameters to your liking. I have mine set to 5K oil and 10K for OEM maintenance :)

That makes sense. I'm running OBDEleven not Vag Com. I'm on a college budget right now. Here in a few months I've have the real deal. In 17 Instruments/Dashboard in Adaptation I found channels 50-51&53-54 adjusted the mileage and days between the SRI and oil change interval but my "service required" light still comes on and the mileage counter doesn't tick down on my intervals. Everything is stuck. Any suggestions?

I was told to change channel 45 to 0 but it will only go 1-2. Nothing more or less

Can't know for sure w/o trying. I think it depends on what MMI version your car is running. My guess would be it'll work on facelift S4's and S5's (2013 and later?) running 3G+ MMI like mine.

It will make the valves start in the mode they were left in except on a cold start where they will always be closed. Only now you only need to put it in gear for them to revert rather than cycle the modes

B8/B8.5 VCDS & Hidden Menu: The Complete List

Newb question here. For some reason I have lost the HVAC display that would show up on my nav screen when I was using it. Ex: I would hit the heated seat button and a display of the seat with the different heat settings would show. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated
    Thank you.

I could hit any HVAC control button(heat seat, fan speed, etc.)and it would show up on the screen and it would show up depending on either side of screen, driver or passenger side.

Not sure about indy shop, but dealer can reset all back to factory. Can you see on your vcds debug folder what you have changed? In green menu there is only 3 places where ac must be enabled...will post soon!

If you not played with hvac module 08 with vcds, go to green menu, choose car, devicelist tick air condition, then carmenuops air condition set to 5 and make sure menu carprotocollswitch choise air condition is not ticked and 3 button reset!

No, you can do what ever you like, point was- if you are not changed module 08 coding, instruction's which I posted may work!

Does anyone knows how to code my tail lights for turn signal bulb error?

I changed my tail lights from stock to Spyder. My stock are ROW while the Spyder are US. I had to make some wiring changes to the outer lights because they came with different plug. That is fixed now and the tail lights are working as intended. The only problem is I get turn signal bulb error. I am guessing this can be coded out as when installing LED bulbs on reverse lights.

    Thanks.

As you are giving not much of specific info, change channel 181 to 0 and all taillight bulbcheck should be off!

As you are giving not much of specific info, change channel 181 to 0 and all taillight bulbcheck should be off!
Done, problem solved, thank you Gunnark.

You rewire the fuse like he posted. Make sure it's not a Samsung or they'll get you for arson.

If you scan with VCDS you might see a few soft codes for quiescent circuit if this happens.

    No risk, just FYI

My B6 had power to the cig lighter all the time. Never had any battery issues.

Our battery is pretty good. I have to leave my car parked for like 3 days with the dash cam on the whole time before it goes into power saving mode.

It was more just an FYI in case someone leaves a detector or something plugged in

This is awesome. It's working with my '14 S4. Best VCDS setting ever! LOL!
