    Seatbelt sensor going crazy

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
For the last few weeks, my seatbelt sensor is driving me crazy. The seat belt chime goes on every minute (of course I always use the seatbelt), and the logical solution is to change or repair the sensor, but can instead just vag-com and get rid of the seat belt chime?
    Would that work?
And avoid paying for a probably expensive sensor?

    Thks!

I had exactly the same problem... I used vag com to get rid of it as a new repairing part costs 70 Euros... The only thing i'm afraid of is what happens in case of an accident... Will the sensor give the order to open the airbag or not?

You can vag the seatbelt "chime" off, but you will still have to deal with the little indicator in your cluster.

oh bad luck, yes that was something I was wondering about. So in order to get rid of light & chime, sooner or later I will have to fix the sensor.
