APR trail software and no difference between stock and 93

I just got the APR trial software and i did not notice the difference like everyone else has noticed. I replaced the ECU last year and the computer didn't recognize my ECU. The guy pulled the engine code with a VAG-COM and then found the program manually (the computer is supposed to do that and give you a few programs to choose from ). Can that have to do anything with it? Maybe something wrong with the car? No faulty codes or anything were scanned.Anyone had a similar experience? Thanks for any help.

I'm not sure where the problem lies but there should be a night and day difference from stock to APR 91 or 93 octane mode. Is the new ECU you installed the exact same box code as the one you removed?

I was expecting a huge improvement but nothing. I think it is not the same code, the new one was order from Europe. That's what the guy that installed told me.

I think it's possible your ecu has a problem. I got an APR stage 1 flash not too log ago and the difference was striking. You could hear the turbo boosting very audibly and the car pulled MUCH harder. If you didn't notice a difference then I would think the trial didnt "take" or something.

I will say it took a few days before the car adapted to the flash though. It felt faster 3 days after the flash than it did directly after the flash. All the systems needed to adjust to the new program.

When i did the apr 93 flash, i had definatly felt that 2nd gear was a whole new animal, and passing cars in the upper gears was easier, that being said, i cant wait to get unitronic xD

Supporting mods play an important role in just how much the tuning software effects/responds!

If you Audi is bone stock and you get the ECU flashed, your gains wont be as noticable as someone with an aftermarket exhaust, FMIC, K04, etc....

I notice a difference between APR's 91 to 93. Even more so with their "race" mode as well. I run K04, FMIC, exhaust, TIP, etc...

I have been switching between stock and 93 and i have started noticed a tiny difference, the car pulls a little better with 93. however i do not think that tiny difference is not very noticeable and not worth the 500$ (IMO) but i am convinced that there is something wrong with the car or the new ecu is a restriction. If there is something wrong with the ecu, will sending the ecu to apr ,and they physically install the chip, work?

APR will want you to data log and send them the data....

    http://www.goapr.com/support/datalogging.php

While you may think the ECU's the problem, APR will want cold hard numbers to see if its not an issue with your car!

Soldering ECU's is a thing of the past....
