Stupid card holder stuck, what do?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
My friend thought it would be a good idea to put a tic tac box inside my card holder and now it's suck, I've been searching for a little bit and all I have been finding is stories of stuff like this happening, can anyone point me in the right direction of what to do? Any help would be appreciated. Flame suit is on btw just incase. TIA

I got mine unstuck by popping off one of the buttons/dummy plates on the side(s) of the drawer and then unblocking it from opening.

I really had no idea what it was for like the first 4 days and everyone was afraid to touch it unknowing what it does. Then my bold, bold friend touched it, it dramatically slid open and we all watched in amazement.

I have no idea how that relates to the OP.

Remove the trim piece above the cardholder/hazard button and you can then pop the cardholder out to fix it.

It does take some effort to push it up and off so don't try to gorilla it off. You can see the tab the trim piece interlocks with on the right hand side of this picture.

Replace the card holder with a cupholder. You can find them on e-bay for 30 bucks. I had mine shipped from China and it looks good. B7 chrome strip on the front and everything. Alot of the B6 guys hate the cupholder but it works great if you put keys, wallet and other junk in the actual cup holders and still need a place for a drink. Anything bigger than a can of soda or a small cup of coffee and you need to use the actual cup holders in the console though.

^ I didn't like the idea of the cupholder there, my buddy has a b6 and hes always like "quick hold my drink" as hes turning lol, just seems as if stuff would fly out of it.. Anyways, had NO luck getting it unstuck before with a cloth covered screw driver.. going to try to remove the trim now and see what I can do. /pray
