    Official RS4 1/4 mile list.

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
With all the success of the B6 and B7 1/4 mile list I decided to help make one for the RS4's. It looks like the performance of the RS4 is quickly moving along so now looked like a good time to start.

I know there are several cars that I didn't get on the list. Im still working on it. If you would like to be included please let me know or E mail me

If your a lover of the dyno or the 1/4 mile this is a good way to see how the cars stack up.

    The rules are pretty simple.

Each car must show 2 time slips. You can Email them to me at [email protected] if you wish or you can just post them in this thread.

I would ask if you know your about to take the top spot please make a strong effort to get video or show more then just time slips.

Video and at least one time slip with the number on the slip matching your car is also fine

I came here from Germany in the 6th grade. I could not read or write a lick of English. I am working to get better. Thanks and sorry. I always try to edit my posts for the best grammar and easiest reading.

It seems that with JHM bolt-on DPs and Exhaust, you're getting the best trap speeds. Best bang for your buck.

Wouldn't the location of the track be meaningful on this list? Or the elevation of the track? All the info like temp and time and such are unreasonable but seems like putting track name and/or city on the chart could be helpful for those interested in the variabilities that exist from a track at sea level to a track in Denver...

Then I tried launching at around 3-4 and was getting the better 1.8xx I think.

Finally, the best 60's, only 2 in the 1.7's, were from driving through the water box, doing a burn out, dumping at 4.5k. It really feels like the tires are spinning a lot this way but other than the first past that was prolly the most spin, it made for the best 60'. The best pass was the second to last and I thought I just spun out too much on the way out of the hole.

Came out of the hole at about 6k and it felt awesome to just touch the rev limiter and grab second with a loud chirp and I knew it was a good pass.

The S5 I was talking about is in a different country.

Our engineering team didn't change the pulley. I'll talk more about the tune later.

We made some revisions to the cooling circuit for the intercoolers.

All runs were on 93 oct from the Exxon at exit 57 on I85.

We pulled the rear seats, the rest of the interior was intact including passenger seat, both front seats are OEM.

I had less than a 1/8th of a tank of gas.

Oil temps were displayed from 77 to 102C. The best pass was in the 90's.

A/C was off. Sirius was on Area or BPM.

Some passes windows were up, some windows were down. Can't remember which times.

It was low to mid 70's? Seemed rather low humidity. Someone can check the weather.

All in all the car feels so awesome. We had a p box on the dash the whole time and it showed a best 0-60 MPH of 3.7 and a best 60-120 MPH of 8.2.

    Arin,

Let me know what one you want on the List. Obviously we can't guess the trap speeds so I can either put the 1/4 mile ET and put XXX for the MPH or take the best ET and MPH and post that. Let me know what one you want to use.

looks great thanks for all the information.
If you don't have haters, then you're not kicking enough ass.

JHM powered 12.2 On the JHM Tune With Launch Assist for the Automatic JHM Nitrous kit/JHM headers all this in a Automatic.

And lastly for the grammar police that are bound to step in
I came here from Germany in the 6th grade. I could not read or write a lick of English. I am working to get better. Thanks and sorry. I always try to edit my posts for the best grammar and easiest reading.

No you can only get credit for what you can prove. Doing it that way isn't legitimate.

We already had this happen once in the past. As this list is a public list the members decided that if you can't prove it you can't post it.

Its not like the great list of times you have are not seller on there own. Just let me know what one you want to use. The list Gets updated every few months and the next update is coming.

So, no. You only get one per car unless modifications take place then you can get more depending on the modification. Or the best time just gets updated.

People will be able to scroll down and see you time list but you can only have one represent the car.

Got it.... I just don't know what's more important for people to quickly see. Best ET, best Trap or the best run that displayed both. Unfortunately it appears the best ET would have the best trap if the sensor was working. :(

    I guess 11.983 @ 117.20 is fine.

    I'd put 11.833 @ ??? mph

The list is sorted by ET...trap speed is important, but the glory goes to the guy with best ET.

I agree with Sak. Who cares about trap when we could have a 11.8 on the list!

    Then 11.833 @ ??? mph it is!

Too bad there isn't a "notes" section. It would be nice if people later wanted to check the ET. I know I like to see all that sort of stuff when comparing numbers.

Justincredible, check out this one I made for the B8 S4 forum... It's all text so you don't need to make an image each time and it's pretty easy to read. Feel free to copy the format if you like it. If not, no biggie. :)

well your launch technique was certainly interesting. It's nice to get a bunch of launches in. Dan @ JHM went last week, but only got like 2 runs in I think.

I'll have to give that mini-burnout a go at the strip in April when it opens. Of course that could be incredibly embarassing if the tires don't break loose and I go rocketing forward (or stall...or blow the clutch).

You definitely need to have a good clutch. I would never try my technique on a stock clutch or even with an upgraded clutch if the flywheel isn't a single peice.

yeah, I wouldn't launch at 5, I just meant do a quick burnout. That's pretty easy (that was my car in that vid I posted)

IT took you forever to figgure out what time you wanted so you were never on the list. There are several updates to ill list them

The JHM tuned APR s/c test car that has made your times possible has also gone back to the track so Ill be updating that on the list as well. I know youll be excited to see how well that car did considering it help light the torch for part of your program. Expect to see something later this week.
If you don't have haters, then you're not kicking enough ass.

JHM powered 12.2 On the JHM Tune With Launch Assist for the Automatic JHM Nitrous kit/JHM headers all this in a Automatic.

And lastly for the grammar police that are bound to step in

Can you please clarify how JHM is directly related to APR's system.

A individual calibrator that many seek and hire the services of, cannot be labeled one or the other.

If that is the case he is just as much APR's tuner as he is JHM's etc..

Must admit I'm a bit surprised to see a moderator taking such a stance/position.

APR (an Audizine advertiser/sponsor) have clearly proven the time - what's the problem?

Stance? Im not taking a stance. Your post makes no sense to me.

Im merely including the time on a tune that was and is still on a car that was created during the JHM calibrator Apr collaboration .. It says JHM in the file (the ECU VAG reading) and the customer himself has shown me the slip and also said JHM tuned it for him. This isn't to stir up trouble. APR has said they worked with the tune the calibrator and created there own. ok We all know that.

This is still a APR thing its just to make reference from the OWNER of the car that has provided me with several slips and ask for his name and information to be shared. Im doing just that.

My reference is only to the first tune that the customer still runs.

This isn't a APR uses JHM thread. Its simple. APR contracted someone, and thats a good thing. Then they made there own tune from the calibration, saying that there new tune has evolved from the calibration and collaboration. No need to make a stink out of it. This is showing how great the APR kit is. This is a very dominate kit two separate cars Two completely different tracks very close results. Its a win for APR.

This isn't for me to say. Its two companys working together. From what I understand APR has taken what they have learned from the exercise and continued to develop the tune from there.

The results are strong running APR S/C cars with the new latest APR tune ripping up the 1/4 mile with the strong time of 11.8

my post here was to merely clear the air and help explain the information asked of me. APR has not shyed away form the fact that they had this exercise I'm merely including the track results from the car that was part of the exercise.

The APR tune sold is a APR tune some parts of which may have come from the exercise. Regardless it was a APR Exercise with a tune they don't use and a tune that has been credited to JHM (per its calibrator and VAG ID) As Ive said before. Its just one more example of the DOMINANCE APR has with there supercharger kit.

Has anyone done an APR Supercharger on a full bolt on JHM car? I'm sure 11.4-11.5 is possible out of the car...

Indeed, although i do think it's possible. Full 2.75" Exhaust especially catless will help drastically.
