Yes, we do Ferrari too. This Ferrrari F360 Modena was towed in after the owner heard a "pop". After some diagnosis, it appears to be a camshaft failure. Check back in for updates on this repair.

It's a challenge to develop an aftermarket exhaust for the great 911. The Akrapovič engineers have prepared a superb system with a dual nature. When the valves are closed, the 911 sounds deeper than stock, but not louder. When the valves are open, expect a completely opposite, pure racing sound, with adrenaline-pumping bangs.

With perfect fitment and no drone, combined with an amazing sound, what more could you ask for?







The noise-control exhaust valves help reduce excess drone. At high rpm the valves open to allow the exhaust to breathe and produce the definitive sound of an Akrapovic Exhaust System.



This wireless receiver allows the driver to open and close the exhaust valves remotely.

By using the optional Wireless Kit, the driver can fully control the exhaust valves, which are controlled by the car’s electronics if no optional part is used. When the valves are closed, the 911 sounds deeper than stock, but not louder. When the valves are open, expect a completely opposite, pure racing sound, with adrenaline-pumping bangs.

We've had a few different cars in the shop the past couple days including a 2014 Audi RS7 and a 2001 Porsche 911. The Porsche received a new alternator as well as important maintenance work, while the RS7 had the latest APR Tuning software installed.

This B7 RS4 came all the way from Canada for carbon cleaning, a Forge Motorsport oil cooler setup, StopTech 2 piece zinc coated slotted Aero Rotors as well as important maintenance services.

APR is pleased to present the ultimate engine control unit (ECU) upgrade for the MQB platform MK7 Golf R with the new 2.0 TSI Generation 3 engine for the Australian Market. APR’s ECU upgrade is available in octane-specific variations and is conveniently flashed to the vehicle’s factory ECU through the OBD-II port without any physical modification to the factory ECU.

APR’s ECU upgrades are one of the best horsepower-per-dollar modifications for the new 2.0T engine. The APR Stage I ECU Upgrade is designed to work without requiring other changes to the vehicle’s hardware. With the ECU Upgrade alone, APR’s Calibration Experts measured higher peak figures of 386 ft-lbs of torque and 380 horsepower with 93 AKI octane fuel. Large gains were seen throughout the power band, including an additional 95 ft-lbs of torque and 85 horsepower. Even higher figures were achieved using race fuel. For those looking for a more modest bump in horsepower and torque, lower output software is available. In both cases the increase in horsepower and torque directly translates to an exceptionally quicker vehicle.

We've had our hands full today working on several different projects. We started off doing some diagnosis and updating APR, LLC. software on a beautiful Porsche 997.1 Turbo. We then did some custom exhaust fabrication for a customers Allroad, and finished up by doing some direct port programming on a B8.5 A4.

The APR Stage I ECU Upgrade is designed to work without requiring other changes to the vehicle’s hardware. With the ECU Upgrade alone, APR’s Calibration Experts measured higher peak figures of 298 ft-lbs of torque and 251 horsepower with 93 AKI octane fuel. Large gains were seen throughout the power band, including an additional 97 ft-lbs of torque and 81 horsepower.

APR Stage II ECU Upgrade is designed to work with APR’s upcoming Exhaust Downpipe and is a free upgrade for APR Stage I customers. When combined with APR’s Intake System, peak power and torque figures grew further to 256 horsepower and 304 ft-lbs of torque. While peak power did not increase by much, the additional hardware allowed the turbo to spool faster and power carried better towards redline, resulting in up to 16 horsepower more.

The increase in power directly translates to an exceptionally quicker vehicle. Using advanced GPS measuring devices, APR’s engineers conducted several acceleration tests. During the 0-125 mph sprint, the APR Stage I equipped vehicle finished 22.048 seconds sooner that stock and the APR Stage II equipped vehicle was an additional 3.112 seconds earlier!

Excelerate Performance is Searching for a Sales and Marketing Representative!: Excelerate Performance has experienced significant growth year after year and with growth comes the need for more talented people. We are currently searching for another person who is career-oriented and ready to be part of our team. Currently, we are seeking a Sales (for the German market) and Marketing Representative. What that means is that we need someone who has experience in the Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche markets in regards to sales of performance products. Experience and knowledge of the BMW, MB and Japanese markets would be a plus as well. What this job will entail is face-to-face sales, online sales, phone sales, and forum sales of products for the VAG, BMW and MB markets primarily, but also other German markets. Also, you will need to have some marketing knowledge and ability. You will be entrusted with caring for the marketing of the shop on social media, on forums, on the web, on local venues, at car shows, etc. You will have an assistant to complete these tasks. You're expected to understand how to photograph, how to capture the important jobs, and follow up on social media.

Now that we've discussed the technical aspects of the position, we'd like to let you know what are we looking for in an employee. Employees of Excelerate, LLC are expected to be honest, diligent, responsible, trustworthy, cooperative and dependable. Of course there are many qualities we could talk about here but the previous few are most important to me. We have a good crew at the shop and would like to welcome a permanent member to the team. I am a proponent of training and keeping employees so please be prepared to stay in your position for years to come if you meet the qualifications and perform your job capably. Also, you will need a valid CT driver's license as you will need to test drive vehicles.

Typically you will be expected to work from M-F from 9 AM to 6 PM. Saturdays are only done by appointment here and as needed. So typically you will not be expected to work more than 5 days in a week.

Now onto compensation. Compensation will be according to capabilities and experience. Since we're looking for someone with experience the compensation will be competitive. Full time employees will be eligible for benefits after a number of months as outlined once hired. Full time employees also have paid holidays and vacation time after a number of months, as outlined once hired. All this will be clearly explained once we determine if you're a potential candidate for employment. Also, if you progress rapidly we will re-visit your compensation package after 6 months.

Additionally, the staff here is great. We are all part of a team that works together well. Each person excels in their position and works in conjunction with the other members to help the shop flow smoothly and most of the time, in a relaxed manner. Remember, too, we aren't some large corporation. This is a small company, owned by me, and I value each person individually and try to adjust to their circumstances and needs.
