Anyone looked into this fluid as a replacement ATF for our TIP cars?

    Here's what it says:
Mobil Super Multi-Vehicle ATF is also suitable for use in automatic transmissions that specify the following requirements:
    • Audi G 052 025-A2, G 052 162-A1
    • BMW LA2634
    • LT 71141
    • ETL-7045E, ETL-8072B, N402
    • Ford MERCON*, MERCON LV
    • All 2005 and earlier GM vehicles (Mobil Super DEXRON-VI ATF is recommended for 2006 and newer GM vehicles)
    • Honda ATF-Z1*
    • Hyundai SP-II, SP-III
    • Idemitsu K17
    • JWS 3309
    • Kia SP-II, SP-III
My car is at 166000km's. I am going to do the fluid and filter change, at the same time add an external oil cooler and external oil filter. After that, the tranny should hopefully last forever and not toast the TC.

I rebuild ZF transmissions for a living and use the Mobil 1 Mercon V all the time.

I'm currently on Valvoline MaxLife and am not having any issues. BMW guys were all using this in their transmission and not having any issues as well.

I believe there are a few different Redline oils. But there is one that reportedly works.

The Valvoline MaxLife posts, that I have seen, are what lead me to the Mobil Oil. I am not a fan of Mobil, but like using Esso products. As the Esso products that are only sold in Canada, are usually better then anything that can be sold in the US. It does not have to pass strict California laws as it is not sold there, unlike Mobil, Redline, and the others. I was trying to track down the ESSO L.... whatever it is oil, and the product sheets redirected me to the mobil oil. As it looks fairly new, I wanted to see if anyone has been running it.

    Thanks,
    Steve
