Better take it to another shop or investigate yourself, these engines have a lot of trouble and is hard to put a good diagnose on it, everybody is shouting chains if there is a problem, and yours are done not long ago.

Yea that’s the plan is to get a second opinion and I tried telling the guys it’s not chain rattle when you cold start it, I said that is a way different sound and that it is the cam adjusters but they just did the mechanic scare tactic of your engine is done…. Yea I have an appointment for another shop on Nov 2nd and they are going to see where we are at with all the oil and compression tests and after that we will see where to go from here….

Do you think its possible to change the bank 2 tensioner without pulling the intake manifold? Can you get the bank 2 chain cover off without removing the oil filter housing?
